The Zotac board and the SG05 look like the exact solution I was looking for, now the real question is can it's power supply handle a GTS 250? It has a rating on 22amps combined on the +12V rail. On EVGA for instance it says the card wants a 450watt power supply with 24amps. Anyone have any...
I just built a new computer and somehow the install got corrupted at some boot file was missing, so I reinstalled Windows Vista after formatting the drive and doing a fresh install. I used vLite to do an unattended install and it worked fine, just like before, but when I am going to login at...
I just finally built my EFI-X machine yesterday and so far everything is working great. I ordered it from www.efixusa.net using paypal to pay and had no problems with them. I used the EP45-DS3R and no problems so far :)
I am working on my new build right now and I am using a Gigabyte EP45-DS3R. My HSF, a Coolermaster Gemin II overlaps the PCI-e 16x slot so it doesn't seem a card would fit in there. Would it be ok to use the boards 8x PCI-e slot for the card? How much of a performance hit would I take? The...
It didn't show up for me if I used "cheap xbox" or "cheap ps3" in the live search, but when I used "cheap Wii" to and clicked that link to go to ebay it showed up and allowed me to buy something and got all the confirmation.
So far I am liking it, but for some reason I can't seem to get it to find all of my files in library. It currently has found 1,084 files out of 1524 total. Anyone else having this problem?
The Coolscan 9000ED would be stupid for him to buy unless he wants to scan medium format also. By saying slides i'm guessing you mean 35mm mounted slides so for that your best bet would probably be the Nikon 5000ED which had an optional adapter that holds 50 slides at once. This will save a...
Got this for the $38 from the South Downers Grove (not Lombard) store yesterday (2/28). They had a clearance sticker on it. I think I grabbed the last one but there could have been a few stuck back there I didn't stoop down to look.
I picked up one of the Microsoft Xbox HD-DVD drives for $49.99 at Best Buy today and would like to stock up on HD-DVD on the cheap, but what I would like to do is rip them and then encode them in H264 files in 720p that would be playable through the apple tv. I'm an apple user so if anyone...

That watch is absolutely gorgeous, I just read this thread and remembered just seeing this at timezone. I would buy it myself but I am in the market for a rolex personally so no money for this one...
Well the title says it all basically, I have leopard on my MBP and I would like to know if I were to get one of the Express Card flash drives would I be able to use that to put my bootcamp partition on, or does it have to be on the main hard drive?
The quality of the shirts being voted winners in the derbies at shirt.woot.com has been going down and down. I almost always only buy during the week shirts at this point. Too many Wal-Martesque shirts from the silly derbies
I have really began to hate the derbys at shirt.woot.com lately. It seems like every week it is something to do with ninjas and or pirates, and the shirts look like they should be sold in Walmart.
Is there anything stopping us from trying to buy this today and just getting a price adjustment tomorrow since the price is now lower than it was when we bought it?
I was watching the Cubs on TV once and the broadcasters mentioned how the hotel the team stayed at in Milwaukee when they were on the road was actually supposed to be haunted by the original owner who would check on guests to see if they need anything. They then mentioned that it was the...
See I am really angry too, but I still love my iPhone so its not that bad. I am not mad that there was a price drop so quickly, I am mad at how large the price drop was. It makes me feel like they were just gouging us early adopters. I understand paying more at first but like its been said a...
Bravo! I got stuck waiting about two hours for my train today and what did I do? I watched Snakes on a Plane which I made using Mac the Ripper and VisualHub. They have built in iPhone presets so I used second to the highest and I believe it took up between 600-750mb I can't remember exactly...
Thanks compudog thats basically what I figured since the mini won't be moving around anywhere. I was just checking to make sure nobody else has ever seen any set adapter first since I couldn't find one. I'll try to post results once I find a decent dell accessories coupon (Dell has conditioned...
Yeah I'm thinking that I probably will need some sort of adapter. Any idea what kind of adapter I will need? I'm thinking i'm just going to attempt to rig something up myself if I must lol.
I have a mac mini that I would like to put a SSD drive into. Problem is the drive that I have a line on is a 1.8" drive, and the Mini takes 2.5" laptop drives. The interface isn't a problem I've got the right adapter for that. So does anyone know the best way to make a 1.8" drive fit?
I'm looking at getting an intel based mac mini to use mainly for surfing/emailing/ect... I am just wondering if anyone who owns one can comment on how loud they are? Thanks.
I saw them in Chicago during their last tour, and boy do these guys play a killer show. They played for 2 hours plus, which is an extremely long show for the place they played. They rocked the entire time!
Robert Capa a famous photographer died by stepping on a landmine in Vietnam in 1954, the last photos he took before he was killed are around and you can see them HERE
Lets put it this way if you need an idea of the speeds you will get. I get about 930Kb/s on the Blackjack with 3G, and I got about 180-200Kb/s with the 8125 on EDGE. The Blackjack just feels a lot snappier though. I haven't seen or played with the pearl though so I can't comment on that one.
I went out and got the Blackjack on the very first day it was released, and have been happy with it. I think what really puts it above the pearl is the 3G network. As long as you live in an area with 3G service it really makes a difference. I went from the 8125 to the Blackjack and the speed...
Yes I have the Blackjack and I am very happy with it. The number keys are actually very nice, if you hit the key to the right of the number it also types in the number. So for example the "E" key is also the 1 but if you hit the "R" which isn't a marked number key, it also types in 1 for you...
You may not like it but honestly this is a really nice phone except for one major problem. The battery doesn't seem to be lasting all that long, looks like it should make it for the whole day. You can tell there is a problem when you crack open the box and they have included 2 batteries...
Yes thats my dream also. I really do have Noctilust. I have a Leica M7 and let me tell you shooting with that is a dream. Sadly I only have the Lowly 50mm Elmar 2.8 :( Hey though its still a Leica :)
Does anyone have an idea if I'd still get them if I filled them out tonight and sent them in tomorrow? I know it says they have to be posted by Oct. 31st, but it also says while supplies last. I'd love to get the Best Buy bucks to get the g/f an iPod for christmas, but I don't want to get...
Well if you want to edit large photos you need memory memory and more memory! THe dual core C2D processor would help a lot also as long as you have a recent version of photoshop as photoshop is multi threaded.
WOW I remember that deal and I got in on it. I was going to Arizona State at the time and living in the dorm. I had no car and couldn't make it to any stores easily to get a large quantity of soda/water. I got in on that deal and got a little extra and it was all delievered to my dorm free...
Does this mean that you are able to watch HD-DVDs at full HD quality over component? I thought I was screwed because I have a 2 year old Sony Grand Wega with no HDMI just a DVI something and Component.
Well basically Chicago's city council is just a bunch of wack jobs. Look into the "Big Box" thing they just passed. Someone should really hand them a basic economics text book...
