Well that's before they decided to sell VSA-100 chips to companis like Creative...perhaps Creative Lab's will update their drivers, but I have a feeling they will ask Nvidia to do it. Perhaps maybe contract a driver company like x3dfx or metabtye to do it.
Yea, with Power Color and Creative Lab's selling Voodoo4 boards in which Nvidia is supplying the VSA-100 chips for, you'd think some sort of driver support will continue. Nvidia is also supplying VSA-100 chips to Quantum3D.
These are the cards I've had in my main machine

No it's not muted..that's first thing I always check when playing a DVD movie, because for some reason everytime I reset windows, it always automaticly set's the line-in to mute.
Yea I've done all those things. I've owned this decoder for almost two years, and the Platnium 5.1 for a couple of months...I have a SBLive Vaule hooked up to the decoder before that. I never had a problem getting it to work, and that's going through like 4 motherboard and processor upgrades...
I have a SBLive 5.1 Platnium and I'm having a annoying problem with the input. The thing worked great, but then I put in a new motherboard, and after that, the input won't work. I use the input to pass the sound from my Realmagic DVD decoder to my sound card. If I plug directly into the...
I had a Sblive Platnium 5.1 installed and working great on a P3 933 with a Abit SE6 mobo. I then upgraded to a T-Bird 1.2 and Epox 8kt3a motherboard and it still worked fine. I then upgraded to a Abit KT7A-RAID...the cards works fine except I can't get the sound-in to work. I have a Realmagic...
No way am I going to cut any bridges on my brand new 1.2GHz T-Bird! You might be right about Geforce 2 cards, but I don't own one to try. I won't buy a Nvidia card as long as they have fuzzy 2d at high res. I think Abit's softmenu must be overriding the true multipiler on the CPU faster then...
well what they told you is true and not true at the same time. No there isn't any offical 133MHz T-bird's out there..the key word is offical. To get a 100MHz T-bird to run at 133, you simply unlock the multiplier and underclock it. Then raise the FSB to 133. For my 1.2Ghz I moved it from 12x...
I've been posting this last week about the horrible problems I've been having with two Epox 8KTA3 (KT133a) motherboards I bought. Neither of them would run at 133MHz with either my T-Bird 900 or 1.2GHz. I was also having problems with the four IDE devices I have installed in my computer when...
I have 3 128MB dimms in 3 out of the 4 slots. I also just tried PCI Latency Timer to 64 and that didn't work...all it did is crash not as fast while installing something. Actually this last time, it not only crashed, but reset my computer!
I'm glad I'm not the only one having this problem...this is driving me nuts! I have two Epox 8kt3's and I'm having major problems with my IDE devices. I have the non-raid one...I have a Seagate 20GB ATA 66 drive as master on IDE1 and a IBM 45GB ATA 100 as the slave on IDE1...I then have a...
I didn't take a close look at the chipset, but when I cleaned off the old thermal paste, I noticed it has a shiny silver circle that took up much of the chip.
I read in a review that the Epox board chipset didn't have any thermal paste between the heatsink and chip...however when I check mine it did. I took it off and applied Artic Silver for a little extra cooling.
yes I changed the multiplier..I think it was 5.5...I even loaded into windows and varified with CPUID that it was running at 550/100...then I restarted the computer and switch the FSB to 133, and I'm not able to boot. I tired just moved the jumper to 133 and just changing the FSB to 133 in the...
I don't think Epox is going to help me out...after all what I'm trying to do is not exactly something supported. I ended up selling my board to someone local who's not into overclocking. I have a Abit KT7A-Raid on the way....however I did order another Epox board for my son's computer, but...
I wasn't able to get my 1.2GHz cpu and Epox 8KTA3 to run at the 133MHz no matter what I did...I even down clocked all the way down to 550MHz just to make sure the CPU wasn't the problem. I tried all 3 motherboard bios's. The oldest one gives you the most FSB choices....it's pretty weird they...
Well I tried all 3 bios verisions...the oldest one did give me access to a lot more FSP settings...however when I lowered the multiplier and raised the bus speed, it kept setting the multiplier back to 12...it actually posted at 1.7GHz but crashed when windows was loading. This is really weird...
Well I have my new Epox motherboard and 1.2GHz thunderbird up and running...however, I'm not impressed with my overclocking expirence. I'll try that new bios before I pass final judgement though....first off I unlocked the CPU and was able to underclock it to any multiplier below the default...
Well I just got home...my shine new 1.2GHz Thunderbird came while I was at work..I'm going to log off now, and install my new Epox motherboard and Thunderbird. =)
I'm just about to install that motherboard along with a new 1.2GHz Thunderbird...I'll let you know what I think about it in a few hours if you like. I have always owned Abit motherboards before, but I got this Epox board because I couldn't wait. From reading the manual I'm impressed so far.
I got it from www.bunta.com for $129. I ordered one from paragoncomp.com too along with a Thunderbird 900MHz at the same time, hoping one would show up soon. I don't think my items from paragon have shipped yet, but I know my 1.2GHz will be here tomorrow for sure. As soon as I get home from...
Well I got my Epox 8KTA3 motherboard today...too bad I didn't get my AMD Thunderbird 1.2GHz to try it out with. (using a Intel setup right now) I was holding out for the Abit KT7a, but from the reviews I read on the Epox board it seems just as good. I guess I just couldn't wait to get a new...
Well here is my current system, and my wifes system. (I think my wife got the short end of the stick, but I won't tell her.)
P3 700E w/ Alpha PAL35 38cfm overclocked to 933/133 (1.2GHz Thundbird coming)
Abit SE6 (815E) (Epox Epox 8KTA3+ coming)
Super Micro Full Tower 300watt(I forget the...
Yea I just ordered one. =) I also ordered a Epox 8KTA3+ from Paragon yesterday..I don't think Paragon has any in stock yet though. They told me the 15th. I also ordered a 900MHz and a 1.2GHz Thunderbird to go along with my shiny new KT133a based boards. I guess it's time for my Abit SE6...
