What do you have in your rig that needs front drive bays? Still rocking optical media? Amiga sized case... With a threadripper in it? š I would love to have an ncase m1 with a potential asrock itx tr4 board but physics and practicality is no fun.. How about the more recent Lian Li cases?
Hmm.. I've had bad experiences with msi, asrock was nice except bios options, last gigabyte board was a p35t-dq6... Would really prefer not to pay for Asus tax especially with their shenanigans of late.. Is it that difficult to have a high end non tacky board with a nice functional bios...
I do hope there'll be atx sized boards.. Would hate to need to replace my case again for a build.. Any expectations? I'm looking forward to a 24/32c finally coming up from a 4770k! Not too familiar with hedt boards, are gigabyte ones good these days?
Don't seem to bode so well for mobo pricing.. Especially if you can't use x399 boards.. I'd hate to be Required to buy a super expensive board just to be able to use tr3, especially when there was very reasonably priced x399 boards from the likes of asus and asrock off the top of my head
Edit...

Nothing in UK retailers still, it's getting on my nerves, still haven't got my preorder since July! Amazon has it at 600-700Ā£ from random shops.. Might as well cancel and go threadripper once they're out, but it seems like they might price that up high to begin with from all the demand which...
Mate your question has already been answered by all the posts before this. Jeez. Just not the answer you want to hear but come on. So many different metrics being compared here so you can't just say the improvement encompasses everything the SoC ever does!
For example 5x faster random reads on...
Its not a contradiction if you look Slightly further than cherry picking the one thing he mentioned in his post, overlooking the performance increase he is wanting to achieve with his oc in the first place! Once again, achieved performance matters, not clocks.
raidxpert driver? never heard of it so probably not installed. I mention the intel nvme driver because its whats recommended to be installed by intel themselves for optimal performance from their ssds ( intel miniport device management nvme driver) and is required to do firmware updates to the...
Hi there, long time lurker. Recently bought a 900p, managed to get it booting and working on z87, and upon first few weeks of use it was very snappy and I could feel a difference compared to my ssd 750. Crystal disk mark looked good, but never as high as what was shown in all reviews, more like...
