Ordered a pair of them Sunday afternoon for a multi-monitor setup and Dell says they shipped already. Keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be happy with them whichever LCDs are in them. Total cost was $504.28 for the set. The $35 off $300 coupon canceled out the sales tax.

opening up the PSU

NTFS Newb! Knowledge Needed

I've got a mix of 4 FAT32 and 2 NTFS partitions spread across two drives. XP is installed on a FAT32 partition and has no trouble reading/writing any partition. Check to see if the second drive is installed properly and is recognized in Disk Management.

The Allied has 2 fans. It'll be louder than the Fortron. On the other hand, the Fortron has a speed control on the fan, and the sound of it speeding up and winding down might be more annoying to you than a louder supply that runs at a constant decibel level.
