Lunar eclipse January 20-21, 2019

Cutting the cord. Amazon firestick worth it?

I had one of the first Fire TV Sticks without voice control. It was okay but it would often be slow to respond and get bogged down. I prefer the Roku Streaming Stick and even more so the Roku Premiere. They're all around snappier.

DOCSIS 3.1, need modem/phone controller unit...with complications

I have friends who have tv/internet/phone through their cable company and that's how they have it setup. The tech used a 3-way splitter to connect their DVR, their main cable modem/wireless for internet, and then also what looks like an older cable modem/router with VOIP and a battery backup...

Anyone use a steering wheel spinner?

I have a few disabled friends who have them in their vehicles. It lets them use their left hand to operate the hand controls for the gas & brake pedals. Sometimes I drive their cars and find the knob just gets in my way. Not super annoying or anything but I definitely wouldn't want one myself.

75% made it a little dimmer here if you were paying attention, sorta like before a mid-day rain shower. But if you didn't know an eclipse was happening you probably wouldn't have noticed.

Here's the eclipse from east Texas. I used a Canon T4i DSLR on the back of a Celestron 127mm telescope and Baader solar film. Max eclipse here was 74.9%. 62.6% eclipse, 20min before max. Maximum 74.9% eclipse. 40.3% eclipse, 42min after max.

Getting Audyssey on my PC... with a few restrictions

Hi beatle! It's been a while. I don't believe receivers apply Audyssey to analog inputs, the signal skips digital processing and it goes straight to the amplifier. HDMI from your video card to a receiver (and then to your display) is probably the best way to do this. Set your windows sound...

I've had mine for going on 2 years now and I'm happy with it. Had my number ported and as I recall they waived the $40 fee if you paid for a year of premier service. It's worth it to me just for the call blocking and blacklist features.

My friends and I have had performance problems since this last patch came out. Apparently they released a 64-bit client and decided to make it the default and it runs like crap. In the B.net client, go to Settings, Game Settings, then under Diablo III check "Launch 32-bit client".
