"IOS error need to restart", but still same error!

When safe mode works, but normal doesn't, then you have a driver issue... You can try to remove a driver while you are in safe mode and see if that fixes the normal mode... As for which driver, you have to figure that out on your own...

Deleting duplicate files

The files in the DOS directory are for DOS, and should be referenced in config.sys and autoexec.bat ... The duplicate files in windows are used for windows and are often different files.. If you are not sure whether to delete something or not... create a temporary folder, and move the files...

Please Help!!, Keyboard Errors

That is a strange problem.. VPOWERD - definately related to APM It seems like the VPOWERD error is a problem with the APM.. The solution for that appears to be to disable the APM in the BIOS.. And then unselect or remove the APM feature from the installation of Windows. Your motherboards power...

AWE64 WinMe Drivers - Use latest Win98?

That's what I'd try ... Odds are the worst that can happen is you would have to uninstall/reinstall the drivers.. If it's not working now, then that shouldn't be an issue..

Win2k boot issue. plz help. strange call..

Seems like the system think it has a SCSI device when it does not... And the other error... Paging issue? wouldn't that be related to virtual memory? Why else would it be paging to that drive... I know this doesn't provide a solution, but it might help jar one loose.

Describe everything that IS on the power supply ... Any specs, like ATX version numbers ... Each wire that it does have... Who knows, it could be some proprietary power supply that only works with certain motherboards.

Try a PCI card? I take it all of the fans, hard drives spin up ... but nothing else happens... keyboard lights? What all do you have hooked up to the board? CPU/Fan/Memory/Video/1 Drive/Power? Not getting a status message from a PC is very fustrating...

Hp 9350i firmware

I wouldnt' recommend using a firmware update for a different drive... It probably wouldn't even let you unless your drive was a "qualifying product"... I looked on their site, and just as you said ... no firware updates... only software updates.. They may not have a firmware upgrade...

Iomega 12x10x32x Installation Help!

The Iomega CDRW's ... require you to install the drivers before you install the drive ... I guess they'd rather prep windows so it knows what's coming, instead of having windows detect the drive and not have the correct drivers... About the win2K support, as Shultz said, "I know nuhthing"

If it locks up on you with the case closed ... but never locks up on you with the case open and fans blowing on the inards... Then I'd say it has to be heat ... provided that you are performing the same actions in either case (no pun intended). It might not be your CPU though ... I've never...

Can WIN98 fail to load if the PC i.e. CPU isn't wormed up enough? Thats what My EXP. Suggests...

Well, it could be running in absolute 0 (-273 C) ... I believe theoretically if that could be acheived, the system would not work at all because the electron flow necessary for conducting current would be in a state of suspended animation .... but I'm guessing that isn't the case here...

I think 4 is the most partitions you can have on a drive ... I'm a bit uncertain about multiple logical drives being installed on an extended partition... Then again, I've never tried to set up more than 4 partitions on a single drive either.. NTFS would prevent windows98 from accessing those...
