She's staying in a Best Western and riding around in a Ford Focus. I'm glad I'm not a successful musician -- I'm not sure I could handle the lifestyle. :P
Their geography is... interesting too. The main character started off in Queen Anne in her house and ends up driving north to work to go to Seattle Center (which is just south of where her house would've been). And the hospital is a local news station (which I would guess that they picked...
I quit two years ago and haven't looked back (that much, anyway, although there are days when I'd like nothing more than to have one). I can go to bars and smoky places without a problem -- the only time that it really gets me is if I've been drinking a little and am talking to someone who is...
I dunno, I have a good feeling about him. He had a pretty good year in '03 all things considered and had the appendectomy stuff to deal with before that. As an M's fan, he also sounds good b/c he did well playing in Dodger Stadium which compares nicely to Safeco Field. We'll see, though, I...
I haven't read any Hellblazer, but I'm currently about 80% of the way through Alan Moore's Swamp Thing run (which introduced Constantine).
I wish Hollywood would stick to stuff that's easy to adapt and that special effects can save -- Spidey 1 and 2 weren't all that successful if you take...
Sting would be the perfect choice (although he's a little old for it now, heh), but that's obvious. ;)
I plan to avoid this film, though. Keanu... meh.
You're missing his point though -- why bother to have Kevin on the show if he's just going to ultimately get dismissed because of his resume?
I think the same thing would happen if Andy had made the final four (or if Sandy had done better in the interview process). There's a fairly specific...
Hamlin, I love you!
Rice, Hamlin, Urban and Hasselbeck just saved Holmgren's job.
and now that ESPN "Seasick in Seattle" headline is looking pretty stupid. ;)
Not a bad deal -- I had a similar experience with a Chinese delivery place where they not only got the order wrong and wrote my CC # down wrong, but they also didn't bother to call me back to get the correct number. Basically what ended up happening was, I called up asking where my food was and...
It wouldn't surprise me at all. Chapstick can do the same thing to your lips -- I never use the stuff and my lips get chapped every once in awhile, whereas my GF's lips get chapped regularly if she stops using it.
Er, wouldn't the receiver just be hooked to one TV (with the second tuner being for PiP or DVR capabilities)? To have TVs set up in multiple rooms, it'd refer to a multiswitch (or whatever) rather than the receiver, wouldn't it?
I remember having a call from a guy dropping one back in my tech support days. It's always an amazing window into the reality of peoples' lives.
Is there any sort of privacy issue about posting the calls, though?
Yeah, Wes had always seemed like he was just filling space. The only times he seemed to do anything were when he was either failing to lead or hitting parked pickups. ;)
I'm also glad that Maria and her excessive blinking are gone.
