ok, this is what i got: Bios settings are fine, I checked and switched the power connectors, IDE cable, still have the problem. also, I used to have a second disk running simultaneously on the same power line, and removing that from the system didn't improve the situation, so I guess the amount...

thanks for your input everyone! BIOS settings as well as power connectors shouldn't be a problem since I didn't change a thing in the last couple of months... but I'll doublecheck to make sure as soon as I get home tonight and I'll also run the drive fitness test - thanks for the link...

BFG 6800OC custom fan replacement

Hi! A couple of months ago I treated myself to a BFG 6800OC, and boy is it good!! The thing is, a couple of weeks ago one of the two fans (I've got the custom double fan cooler) started to get really noisy - I'm assuming it's the bearings. So I'd like to replace the fan for a healthy one...

K7T Turbo-R and T-Bred ... Do they go together?

Thanx for your input guys! Iron woode: u used that xp2100+ on the turbo ver3 (NOT Turbo 2 ver5)? I thought the tables supplied by MSI were probably a bit conservative... I'm just hopin that the same goes for supporting tbreds! I think I read in another forum that some people have successfully...

K7T Turbo-R and T-Bred ... Do they go together?

Hi guys! I've got an MSI K7T Turbo-R and in the near future I'd like to upgrade my CPU from my current TBird 900 to max out the mainboard. The question is which CPU do I get? (The CPU will be the only thing I'll upgrade...) According to the MSI website my board supports Palominos up to XP 1800+...

OCing Tbird 900

I'm completely new to OCing and want to OC my 900 tbird on my brand new K7T Turbo-R. I wanted to do it right the first time and went for the rear window defogger repair kit. I applied the stuff to all L1 bridges and the rightmost L6 bridge (making it a default 500) like the article on Anandtech...

LXi: If there was no difference between the two boards then why would one dealer offer both at the same time? And for different prices? Check out Bartl! It's a German site but theres also an English version. Edit: forget about the english version. Just go to onlineshop and do an expert search...

MSI K7T Turbo!

The question that remains yet unanswered is if these boards will be able to support 1.5Gig Athlons or higher! Their website says so but with all these discussions about stuff like 2phase vs. 3phase power supply and similar things, I'm not so sure if I can trust them! So could somebody please...

Well, I can tell you for sure that there are both RAID and NON-RAID versions! Just check out their HQ-website! K7T Turbo K7T Turbo-R And the best part is: they are both available here in Austria! :D (at least 3 dealers have them listed already!)

Does the A7V133 have the 2 or 3 phase power solution?

Good question... My new mobo has to have it in order to be considered since I wanna be able to upgrade to the cpu's of the future. I already know that Abit and Epox have 3pps Anyone know especially about the MSI Turbo? What about the other KT133A mobos?

I'm going to build myself a new system soon and I was wondering if I could simply transfer my old harddrive to this new system. This is NOT going to be the hd containing the OS! Will I be able to access and read all data correctly or can I expect there to be any problems? thanx for any help on...

upgradeabitlity of kt133a boards

I´m planning to buy a kt133a board (probably the msi k7t turbo) soon and I´ll team it up with a 900 mhz tbird. What I´d like to know is if these boards are going to support the higher clocked processors of the future (past the 1.5 ghz mark) or if there are going to be any special requirements...

AMD T-Bird 100Mhz or 133Mhz ???

When I buy the cpu in Europe (Austria to be exact) will I have a better chance of getting a German core than in the US? Or is there no difference? Does anyone know if there is an estimate about my chances? But I guess since they are all sent to Malaysia for packaging there won't be a difference...

I'm wondering what sort of advantage I get by buying a 133fsb tbird as opposed to a 100fsb tbird. As I understand it, all you gotta do is unlock the 100fsb tbird (unless it runs stable with the set multiplier and 133fsb) and it should run perfectly on the 133fsb... Another question is: will a...
