I just setup a RAID array with 3x 960 Pro using RAIDXpert and the newly published RAID NVMe driver. You'll find the CrystalDiskMark results below. I think it looks OK but real world performance is still lagging I think. File copy starts at 1.6 Go/s, ends at 0.9 Go/s (throttling?)...

No. I'm not using the slot at the moment and not planning to in the near future. It should be just enough though with max offset to allow a card there.

I finally build my new PC yesterday. That was a pain. Too much things to do, those PC need to get a little more straightforward and require less actions. Why the hell is there so much cables to connect to the MB? Why are the M.2 screws so small? This is not designed for human size people...

TR's release was definitely a weak one. I'm still waiting for my MB (thanks Asrock) and I only could get my hands on 2 of the 4 DDR kits I ordered (thanks G.Skill). Plus I ended up with a Noctua cooler because nothing was available... Pretty frustrating. Hope everything will boot from scratch...

Everything should be connected directly to the CPU if I'm not mistaken. At least with TR. I don't know about Ryzen.

I'm exactly planning that with 3 960 Pro 500Gb. I like that the OS has a dedicated drive. But I'm gonna test a 3-drive RAID 0 array to see if it scales well. If it does, I'm gonna use a SATA SDD for the OS.

Asetek cooling solutions should be sufficient to run at stock speed. But I'm also waiting for a dedicated solution. I'm not gonna go cheap for the cooler with such a high-end platform nor buy something in a few months when more products are released. Not having received the motherboard helps ;-)
