IBM's 3 yr warranty is absolutely wonderful. I'd take their warranty over dell's any day. Honestly, I've used their service 3 times already and with wonderful results. I suggest you stick with IBM.
Build Quality / Scratch Resistant (not plastic like the dell's) / Superior Support
I would...
I just compared the 213T to the 2001FP. I own a 213T and my friend just bought the 2001FP.
I think the quality is good, but some manufacturing issues makes it much less appealing. Specifically, the probelms with the DVI to a powerbook causing it to fall out of sync and turn off randomly. The...
I have time warner cable and I don't want to pay their fees for getting a settop Digital Cable box, OR HDTV access.
I've called their support line asking for details, but they're really quiet about the signal coming in. If I'm going to buy a PCI card, does anyone have any experience with...
I've been to their new store a couple of days ago. Much nicer than their old hangout. They have about 6 computers to order from, and if the item is in stock, it'll be in your hands in 20 minutes. (No kidding. =) ) Willcall costs $5, but you get the satisfaction of the item immediately at a...
If anyone has a 10% off Home, I have a 10% off SP if you would like to swap. =) My GF is buying a computer tomorrow, and I would like to save her some $$. PM me if interested.

The Kobe there at Bellagio isn't that great. I was unimpressed at least. Still, its a great deal to get a taste of what real beef is supposed to be like without spending an inordinate amount of money.
My choice is the Beef Wellington. =)
I won enough to cover the cost of my trip and my...

It's a good price on a dual format. I love mwave because of their ever so useful Will Call and Pickup options. They have their garage sale this weekend too. I'm debating going to check out any hot deals. Has anyone been there before recommend anything good?
Also...
BB usually drops their price for the first week a new item is released by $5.00. It happened when I bought the previous futurama and family guy. So, if you want to take a risk, there's a good chance that on 8/12, Futurama Volume 2 will be $34.99 at your local BB. It's been true for me for...
haha god. isn't there a better way to berate the guy? Hmm... personally I wouldn't trust the stuff for anything mission critical just because I don't know it. Can't find good technical specs on either website. So no help there to determine what chipsets they use. Anyone bite the bullet and...
I just got this, and used hacked drives (Search A05 Hacked firmware) and got in on the PC CLub deal for 50 DVDs at $35. They burn at 2x baby. I love it!
Went to BB and had the cashier price check it. It rang up at 199.99. I saw teh 9000Pro regular for $79 AR though... I think this was an isolated mistake.
if ur running XP you can drag and drop the monitors under the settings menu after Display Properties. Its pretty cool. Don't use NView but rather XP's built in dual monitor support. It's great!

I got red L shaped with artifacts on 8 pipelines. Used 256 bit hack up to 9800 w/o artifacts. Getting 3300 on 3dmark 2k3 Oced 325/325. Ordered from googlegear (after RMA of black PCB)
If you are having problems booting download the wizzard drivers for the 9800 w/o 8 pipelines. Sometimes...
yup, you are right.
here's a link

For those who think the hack worked on inline Black PCBs... read the link and compare your system specs listed through Rivatuner to get the full breakdown. =)

I've been quiet for a while reading this thread, here's my story:
Ordered with first bunch of guys and specifically requested Red L-shaped Mem, etc.
Got black and ran hack anyway. Fill-rates went up ~80% but had massive artifacts.
Black PCB showed 128-bit memory interface (NOTE: NOT 256-bit)...
I have an HDTV and I plan on using the component adapter with my 9500NP. The TV is a Zenith Direct View 32'' HDTV.
The TV can only handle 2 resolutions in DTV, 480p and 1080i. If I were to use the component adapter, could I output my 1024x1280 resolution with upscaling to the HDTV? Or...
recieving mine tomorrow (@ night prolly) from UPS. I will update immediately. =)

p.s.
I plan on using RivaTuner to auto hack the card. You should be able to go from 128bit --> 256bit memory bandwidth easily if you have the L shaped ram. (thus 9500 pro) The 4 extra pipelines is all...
thanks for all the help guys. I'm stable @ > 2ghz but no way I'm gonna leave it up at 1.9V for the paltry 100mhz performance increase. Running @ 184mhz right now and I'm very happy. THANKS A BUNCH GUYS!
p.s.
AGP is set to AUTO. (@ 66mhz I was getting artifacts)
nick
to get anything to boot past the 2.1ghz mark I'm up to 1.875V core but the reading is 1.90V. =(
I think my chip just can't hang very well. (bad luck) Oh wells. I'm now @ 184x11.5. Think I'm going to drop down to 184x11.
niick
as mentioned earlier I'm using the Zalman copper flower. My temps are < 45 for anything I can post at ... still having problems getting the RAM to go past 166mhz. =( Any suggestions? Increase voltage? Its at 2.66V right now.

update
Ok, now I'm having some major issues. What do you set as your AGP Frequency option? 66Mhz or auto? I'd think that 66Mhz is standard. I haven't been able to push it yet because the mobo seems even MORE unstable since the flash. I reached 2.133ghz for a few minutes but was unstable @...
ok. Apparently a new BIOS was released 1/17/03 and my board didn't get that. I'm updating BIOS and I'll let you know results. How hot do you guys run at? What voltage?
nick
I'm running 100%. Maybe its an old BIOS? What is the version u guys are running?
I'm running excaliberPC stuff week 302 1700+B.
I've manually adjusted ram settings and up to 170Mhz but each time I have to clear the CMOS. =(
