The deal really isn't about installing this junk, it's about buying 10 digital copies in store at kiosk then paying at register with a Chase ink plus card and the current 25% Staples rewards coupon. File for the rebate to get software free and never install it.
I'd call 2k free ultimate...
The best one is AT&T $150 credit for paying your bill online, have only seen this on select biz cards though. Even if you don't have AT&T you can trade the credit at Dan's Deals forums in return for Paypal cash (or whatever) from someone who wants it. You pay their bill with your CC, they give...
That's weird, checked the wife's Fire 2nd gen and it's already subscribed as I thought, but none of the past offers matched what Amazon shows for these deals. I wonder if they're targeted.
Disable AdBlock and reload the Appstore page a couple of times, the offer appears on the right of the page. You end up buying 5 separate free apps, each giving 200 coins.
Figures that the WD Scorpio Blue in my lappy crashed last week so I got this SSD from the egg for $130, then a couple of days later they drop the price $20. Oh well, can't do anything about bad timing.
BTW this was the second WD Blue laptop drive failure I've had in the past few months, in...
The $229.99 Celeron in the OP has also been marked down to $179.99 in BB stores only, online they are OOS/discontinued. I and a work friend of mine were both able to go into a store with our bestbuy.com receipts and have them do a return/rebuy with the new price under the holiday return policy...
I've seen that before, you'll need to reformat the card and/or use a different card because it tries to boot from card first and will hang if it doesn't like the card sometimes. The SD card reader is flaky on these things.
Works fine on stock ROM, I've tried a bunch of tables and no issues at all. I've seen other games that don't work on CM 10.x (Bard's Tale frex) so it's not for me.
The stock ROM with an alternate launcher and root/sideload mods works pretty well for me for everything I can throw at it.
It's recommended to use class 4 cards on the Nook HDs due to a flaky SD card hardware implementation. Not saying class 10s won't work because some have had success, but the consensus that I read from some of the folks working on the mods is that you'll get more reliability with no loss in speed...

Install Nova Launcher from the Play store (no mods needed), have heard that Apex is good too.
Exactly - I'll put up with a little browser and UI lag at these prices and in exchange get a great screen and a fully functional Android tab with all the Play apps. Plays Pinball HD, Temple Run 2 etc. and all the HD video I can throw at it without a hiccup. And oh btw it's a great e-book and...
I haven't seen this with stock ROM, but I use the Nova Launcher instead of B&N's crap. I also tried CM 10.1 but battery life on sleep was not as good, it wasn't any faster, and some apps would force close with it because of the newer video driver. I'm sure some if not all of this was resolved...
No lag that I notice after I put the Nova launcher on instead of the stock Nook one. I've also tried the CM 10.1 ROM and some people say it's faster than stock but I never saw much of a diff. Ran into some issues with CM 10.1 (Flash and Bard's Tale not working) so I went back to stock 2.1.0...
Bad luck, this is a known issue for some of them and it's poor QC as you said. Mine has no screen issues but I got it from Best Buy last month. It's the luck of the draw - some have complained about a yellowish tint to the whites on some of them too but mine is fine.
Definitely not too big as an e-reader, and I'd spend the extra $30 to get the 32GB version personally even though it does have an SD card slot.
This is a great price for one of the best tablets you can get, hardware-wise, as long as you don't mind not having cameras or GPS.
It's a Father's Day deal like the one for Mother's Day they did last month, so price is supposed to go up after Sunday. But there will probably be another sale after that until they blow out the remaining stock.
Dead simple to put the mod on to allow sideloading, and root if you want.

Been a great tab with stock and even better with CM 10.1 installed native.

I played both DA2 and ME3 on Origin and only had one issue back in the spring where Origin would not launch ME3. This was fixed by installing the latest beta. I had no other issues with Origin and made sure it doesn't run at startup.
Yeah it sucks compared to Steam, but I'm not seeing what...
Hell no, there's plenty of other suckers to go around if the game's good. This was a legit retailer unloading stock, that's all. I never pay full price for a game, it's not that big a deal to wait a month or two.
You realize they needed to sell 3 mil just to break even and only sold around...
I thought it was a very fun game and put almost 70 hours into it, which included doing almost every quest in the game. It did get repetitive at times and the mob variety waned towards the end, plus by then I had so much good gear and skills I was unstoppable.
But this is no different than...
IMO you're better off buying external drives and taking them out of the case, that's what I just did to get a 1.5TB Seagate for $65 + tax from Staples. Lots of good deals still remain on these for some reason.

I have never seen this issue and I game on my HTPC all the time. Recordings are sent to a 1TB USB external drive which should make it even worse, but I never see glitches even though gaming runs the CPU at 100% while recording.
As stated above, recording a show is nothing more than passing...
