one other thing: I can see my Desktop (XP) computer shared files from the Notebook (Win98), but I cant see the notebook (win98) from my desktop (XP).

ATIs Overheating With Catalyst 3.8 Drivers?

YES, I could get a bigger house (tower) and have the whole thing inside,,,,,,,next time tough:) EIDT: Sry, I miss took you there, there is engine coolant and other stuff in the liquid:) I did use sealed/closed set up:) no evaporation and no corrosion.

Trust me they are quiet at even 1000RPM (~5volts) No, its a closed system, you dont have to refil, its been this way for the past three months. You dont know much about water colling do you, the water is destiled water mixed with radiator coolant and anti-corrosive agent, so no rust, no algae...

THX, no, you got it all wrong, its all very quiet, I have the Vents on pot (pics) and they run around 1000RPM (very silent). As I said the loudest thing in the room now is the Hard drive and its a WD which is not too loud.

Performance= 2500 barton @ 215*11, Radeon 9800Pro @ 485MHz (3dmark01 19900~) Water temp = Air temp + 3"C, max CPU, GPU temps= 45"C. Worth it??? Bump:) This was custom built, your setup WILL kick a$$:) when are you getting it??

Furteher update: I found 15meter long S-video and 15m long composite cables (but could not find 20m, I guess cause thats where the signal lost starts due to resistance, correct me if I'm wrong). So I guess i could go with the 15 m, the cable would probably go all over the floor and across, but...

I check out the AV caster, but what is cat5???? I never heard of it. In respect to the AVcaster, I can't get it here in Hungary1) and second I think it can only signal Composite siginal and not S-video siginal, I have not gotten any replys in respect to the picture quality difference between...

Barton XP 2800+ or is XP2500 enough? got cash to spend may OC

Its not really a gamble almost all 2500 Bartons pass the 3200Xp settings (11x200), I have a 2500 and it maxes out at 2350MHz 215x10.5. Its not a gamble cause AMD has not found a way to produce the lower clocked Bartons (2500) than the higher one (3000-3200) so its basically the same...

Mine even passed the Mem86 in dos sometimes, but still it was the memory! Cause once I removed it, it was stable. Yes its strange. But worth a try if you can get your hands on a 256Mb modul, no harm done tring. P.S.: althog mine sometimes booted and BSOD-d in the OS. And as I understand yours...

I have an A7N8X (dlx) and I had a broblem the time that I tried 512Mb sticks, the only way I could get it to work is use 256Mb sticks. Back then I did a research on the issue and came to the genereal conclusion that the ASUS+NF2 mobo was not compatible with some 512 sticks. Yes I know it works...
