For all you that might be sleeping the past 2 weeks, they are apparently closing out a bunch of RTi towers too. Check this link: Chubby Wallet
Today I went to exchange the open box they gave me as new last week and found the price had dropped to $78 each (regular price $378/pair). Nice price if you need surrounds to match your RTi fronts.

You're right.... the 150/channel is 6ohm (<.7%THD@1kHz) and 110 is 8ohm (<.05THD@20-20kHz). Note the 1kHz measurement on the 6ohm spec. Not exactly optomistic if you drive a 6ohm speaker like a mad man. I bought this a while back. Very nice receiver. No it's not a step below the 3802, it's...
Not sure where you heard that about the warranty, but I dont think it's correct. As for the EX... you might have a point in the name, but "including Matrix 6.1 decoding ". This is EX only DD EX hadnt come out yet, it was called THX EX to start with...... and THX charges a fee to use their...
How's $595 for a nice Denon 7 x 110 watts?
6thave.com
Denon Spec Sheet
Denon Owners Manual

true.... my old Onkyo 646 is still kickin so I havent gone digital yet. Willin to bet $$$ this will sound alot better than mine w/ tv or dvd, at about $400 cheaper. You might wanna check out the OEM Pioneer from Rat Shack for a little more money if you want video switching....
*ripped from...
oops forgot to mention video.... ummmm use the best that you have.... if your TV has component video inputs use them, but cables are EXPENSIVE. Your choice of whether to run the video through your receiver. I do but I switch between VCR, DVD, computer, sattelite and the old N64.... makes...
Basicly look for a decent power rating first off (AT LEAST 80W/channel on a cheap name brand). Go with a company you like and trust as well as the price. $200 is very cheap, so your name brands are gonna be few and far between but they are out there. Just dont expect it to perform like a B&K...
Thats cool... just alot of ppl try sellin stuff (auction or otherwise) in this forum and it usually gets the thread locked (least if thats what the thread is about to begin with) Trust me I got banned for about 2 weeks for linking an auction off Ebay thinkin it was a good deal.....
True.... but subs do sound very different, some have very good musical quality (my old MTX Black Golds sounded great before the Eclipse 8810's) while others sound boomy (Cerwin-vega XL series)..... though I'm not thread crappin.... nice deal
Stopped by Staples earlier to check at the kiosk.... it worked but the 2k XP is no longer available.... only the 2.2k at an additional $200.... not sure if the coupons still work or not, I didnt try after seeing the additional cost. Seems like the price was $62x before any coupons....
