Windows 7 Home vs Pro vs Windows 8

Windows 9? Naaaah. Gonna wait for Windows 10 or maybe Windows 11. Gonna wait for windows version that is completely stable. oh wait, I culd turn off the computer and never use it again. Totally stable Windows OS. The only way to break it is if I were to turn it on and go online.

Solved: Making Windows 8 Tolerable on a Laptop or Desktop

No cmpelling reason to add gunk on your win8 computer. Win8 is fine as it is. You do not need any "secret" to use it.

Why do you have to log off to shut down the machine? I have mine running on VM and I don't have to log off to shut it down. Win+i will get you to power icon. Ctrl Alt Del will do the same.

Manage Another Account link

The Manage Another Account link is missing from the windows 7 User Account window. Anyone knows how to bring this back? I enabled the Guest account thru Computer Management but when i tried lo log on with the Guest account, I got the "the account you are using is disabled" message.

How to stop flash from running in the background/startup?

1. Manage add-ons in IE Tools 2. disable Run ActiveX Control and Plug-ins in Internet Options 3. disable Active Scripting in Internet Options I enable 2 and 3 as needed. Youtube for example require 2 and 3 enabled.

How does MSDNAA work exactly? At my college, students are not allowed to access the site without the professor's consent, i.e. you cannot just ask for a user id and password unless the professor says so. I argued this matter with the professor to no avail.

Thoroughly disgusted with Vista 64-bit so far
