andrey,
You are welcome.
I did try the Plextor Support site yesterday and they sent me a long personal answer this morning. I never did try to call them tho but, the response to my email was within 12 hours.
andrey,
Thank you for the link. That is one review that I saw, that along with a thread on this board about Yamaha packing oem into retail boxes has helped me in my purchase decision. i called yamaha and they verified the same thing as i read in the thread by 'monopoly'. That is not good.

Thank you, I have a u2w and IBM DMVS. Total system is SCSI. As a matter of fact all IDE Channels are disabled along with USB. Only the FDC is outside the SCSI chain.
Thanks.

Thanks again,
Glydon

Which SCSI CD-RW should I get for my SCSI System?
A Plextor 12/10/32S or a Yamaha 16/10/40S?
I would like you to give reasons as to why you think one is better than the other!
What are the Pros and Cons of the BurnProof v 8Meg Buffer (is one better...
