Delided 7900x 4.8, what temps should I See?

Delided 7900x 4.8, what temps should I See?

So I picked up the x299 oc formula, and got a second hand 7900x that had been delided by SL at 4.8ghz, 1.25v. Using g skill 3200mhz rgb ram. Stock, getting in the 70s during load on cinebench and some prime 95 26.6, so ok. At 4.8 and 1.25v, it will go as high as 94c. Obviously it was more of...

Quad gpu on Z270 apex? Will it work?

Will quad Nvidia gpu work on an Z270 apex board? Obviously not SLI, just need cards recognized in device manager and functional for mining. Directly connected cards to motherboard, no risers. Do I need any minimum specific cpu or will even a g4400 work? Or do I need i7?

4k Gaming, my impressions of 4k vs 3440x1440

I still have both the 4k and x34, so I like to switch between them. If I could choose only 1, of course I'd stick with the X34 with the 100hz refresh. But....4k looks really good with a 1080ti. You can notice the sharpness, even vs the X34 which is 3440x1440.

Any reason not to use founders edition cards?

I actually prefer the FE sometimes, since they blow all of the hot air out of the case, it can be good if you have certain setups.

Why am I getting screen tearing on a G sync 4K display?

So I have an Asus Strix 1080 ti, with an Acer Predator 4k 27 inch display. In many games like GTA V, Destiny 2, I am getting screen tearing. FPS staying in that 60 range, but sometime dips or goes higher. V sync off, but even on seemed to do it. Is there some setting I need to adjust? G...

What temps should I be getting: 8700k with EK Custom loop?

Yes I am using avx offset -3. I am also running the supremacy evo block. If I bring it back to stock, temps drop 20 degrees. Previously I had a single 120 radiator h70, and that’s why I’m curious why I didn’t see much improvement with 360 rads and water cooling, maybe 5-7 degrees.

So I have an 8700k, overclocked to 4.9ghz at 1.32v where it is stable. I have a 360 EK "performance editon" radiator, with triple thermaltake fan setup in a inwin 303 case. What temps should I be getting during stress testing? I seem to get around 84c cinebench, and 89c during Prime 95...

1080ti SLI, no benefit or which games work?

So I have 2x 1080ti in SLI, and it seems to be nearly the same FPS as just 1 1080 in games like Tomb Raider, Witcher 3, etc. Is SLI really that bad now or are particular games that will benefit? Resolution is 3440x1440, right under 4k, so should see some benefit, no?

Well, crashed at 4.8ghz at 1.25v so never mind going lower, likely 1.28v may be stable. I think I need more cooling than a single ek 120 rad on water to push more.

Thank you, at 4.8 gigahertz it seems stable at 1.25 V, with a Max temp of about 73 C, which seems better than 87c at 4. If the system is stable, how low can I realistically go on the voltage at 4.8? Is there a number that becomes dangerous for the cpu on the low end?

Thanks- I was able to get 87c overnight prime 95 26.6 at 4.9ghz with 1.305v, is that more in the ballpark? My previous h70 aio with push/pull was similar to my ek 120 open loop with 1 fan.

Thanks - so far I like the Vardar fans. I had previously Scythe Kamaflow 2's at 1400rpm, which are also good fans. I can only fit a 120mm in that case, which is similar to the Silverstone RV01. I wish I could do a 280 or 360 liquid cooling setup, but temps are actually very good on the 8700k...

Having a little trouble updating bios on my z370 maximus hero x. Bios 0802, released today. I tried the bios ez flash utility and also the asus software, but cannot get it to update. Keep getting "this is not a valid bios" or "bios image does not match bios rom", or something to that effect...

I think I figured it out, I unplugged the power pcie cables from the gpu, and plugged them back in -I think it may have come loose from some other previous case changes in the vicinity this week.

How do you get CPUz to show the full Vcore, and not half of it? Going from an H60 single fan, to an H70 with push/pull fans yeilded me about 7 degrees less or so at 4.9ghz and 1.31v.
