Hey guys I was wondering if the new AMD Dual Core chips fix the 4 stick memory problem?
Currently right now I have a Asus A8V socket 939 motherboard. I have 1T ram, but when I stuck in 1T ram into all 4 slots it lowers the speed and forces it up to 2T, or else it won't run.
I heard some...
I looked for many different programs and I can't find anything really that works. I found one that tries to connect with a winsock connection, but nothing that lets me change UDP or TCP. I thought the protocol for Pinging was the ICMP where it's basically it's own type of packet where it...
My provider is Ice House. Here is their website http://www.icehouse.net/
The only reason I picked them was because after you pay the first month the next 3 months are free. I'm a college student and I don't have the money so I picked them because they were the cheapest.
Hey guys, I was just curious to find out my new DSL's latency. My old DSL Verizon in washington sucked, it took 20ms to get to my gateway and then it took 3 more hops before I left their routers and by the time I left their last router and was out on the web I was already at 45ms. Most of my...

I think panther has it wrong you do not need netbuei at all. The only protocol that you need is TCP/IP. I think Panther was getting that confused with NetBIOS which is apart of TCP/IP. Make sure all of the computer are on the same subnet basically all ip's have to say something like...
One of the main reasons people suggest an external firewall is because when people do that the firewall also provides NAT(problably already know this, but turn an internal IP address into a real one). So if someone tries to contact your real IP address they're contacting your firewall and not...
ALl hubs or repeaters require A/C power. There might be one that would run on batteries but you would have to replace it daily. You best bet would be possibly getting a cheapo Fiber Optic network card(more expensive than a normal cat 5 ethernet). Or another would be a BNC network card which...
Hey, I don't know too much about cable modems, but I have a DSL connection. I know you can buy a new DSL modem, or some ISP give you thier own. Some of the DSL modems and Cable modems you can get have internet connection sharing. what you will need is to have a Ethernet card(network card)...
