@ Deleted member 4644: That sounds okay to me, with an H80. Have you checked the heatsink surface on it? Both of my Corsair water coolers desperately needed to be lapped, and their performance improved considerably once it was done.. Just pointing that out in case you think lower temperatures...

I used to have the load throttling issue with my ASRock board, so I just used 20x. Right now I'm using a bios that prevents throttling on the Asus board (In other words, 21x will stick once I can get it to work right in W7).

Anyone still use peltiers?

I don't think they are used very much any more, since the heat output of top modern processors is too high for their use to be practical. They would work fine in conjunction with other types of cooling (heat pipe, water), but the power use of a peltier which is actually capable of transferring...
