My friend saw this video at E3 yesterday and said that was from the Xbox version. Anyway, the video certainly isn't as sharp as actual gameplay, but knowing what the screenshots look like its pretty easy to tell what it will look like when the real thing hits.
Doom 3 looks far better than Half Life 2 graphically. I don't know, something about Doom 3 strikes me as leaps and bounds ahead of anything else. UT2k3 wasn't impressive to me at all, but everything i've seen from Doom 3 has been simply amazing.
I think a lot of people here are understating the 5200's performance by far. Looking at Anand's preview of the 5200 Ultra, it holds it's own just fine in all games except for Serious Sam 2 where it seems to tank. Other than that anomaly, it performs better than the Radeon 9000 Pro and the GF4...
BestBuy is having a 3 for 20 dollar deal on certain DVD's, that include Donnie Darko, Predator, Boondock Saints, Point Break... and i forget the others. Its in store, but online you can manage to just order 1 instead of 3.
The NP Sapphire's seem to come with either Infineon 3.3 or Samsung 2.8 memory. The samsung memory should overclock to Pro speeds easily, and possibly more depending on your luck. The Infineon can only hit around 300.
I just got a Radeon 9700 last week, and i haven't really had any problems. I had the stuttering problems with Freelancer but luckily i got my card just in time for the Catalyst 3.2 drivers to come out, so that was quickly solved. But none the less, i'll vote Minor Problems because of that and...
Hi everyone. The last few days my Liteon 12x10x32 CD Writer has been unable to read any blank cds. It seems to try and read the cd for 15 seconds or so (with the window cursor on arrow+hourglass) then just stop. Starting to burn a cd in Nero gives a little bar at the bottom that says its...
I've actually sent dog poo from this website to a friend of mine. About 3 years ago actually, and he did get it, and it was funny all around :) I think their site says they use fake poo now, but back then it was real :D
I'd be wary about waiting for a 9500 Pro price drop. If the 9600 Pro performs slightly worse or even simply on par, there's a chance that a high demand for the 9500 Pro's will keep the price high, especially since they will no longer be produced. The 9800 Pro shouldn't really affect the prices...
Yeah, the last week i was trying to decide what card to get, knowing the 5600 Ultra was a bit underwhelming and the 9600 Pro wasnt going to be much, if any, better than the 9500 Pro. I ended up going for the stock 9700... should arrive at the end of the week :)
Don't see why this news coming from Gamespot should have any difference in your opinion since it is basically coming from the head of Microsoft's game division. None the less, i don't mind seeing DX9 last for awhile. It will finally allow the games and cards to take advantage of the features...
Great America up in San Jose isn't much of a rival... from what i've heard (going to school at UC Santa Cruz) it blows. And living in Southern Cali just about all my life, if someone says "6 flags" everyone knows what they mean. Plus it sounds a lot cooler than "magic mountain" which sounds...
Title Club is a dumb name. ATI had a dumb presentation... trying to be "cool" and appeal to gamers only to look lame. Visiontek is a little better, trying to use the lingo. It's nice seeing companies trying to advertise more towards the gamers who make up the market for their cards... but...
How can you think its biased if you can't find any examples? That's a terrible way to do a report if you're having trouble backing up your own beliefs.
Yup, i work at Target as a cashier and i'll either 1) wait for someone to check the price or 2) ask the customer if they remember the price or the price on a similar item. #2 works the best as it just saves a lot of time for both me, the customer, and customers behind them. There used to be a...
That's not my logic at all. Time and quality is better than many of the "previews" that have all been reiterating the same information, when they could just wait a few days when they can put out actual benchmarks that mean something, or at least give a hint of whats to come.
I'd expect R400 before the end of the year as well. Seeing as how very little was changed in the R350, there's a good chance quit a bit more development is concentrated on the R400. As for the NV35, i don't think anyone is expecting the "killer" card, at least performing better than the R350...
