is there any way I can RAID 0 two hard drives connected to the JMicron IDE, and leave the JMicron SATA ports as normal (AHCI) (preferably in hardware, not software raid?)

ah, makes sense ;) I find the remote rather useless myself, but could make use of the usb receiver to use with my regular remote w/ girder.

thanks! installing pc probe II took care of the second device (I think maybe it has something to do with the fan speed sensors.... I can now read the fan speed from the Chasis fan 2 in Speed Fan, where before I couldn't). That first device is still there though (and I've installed the chipset...

I have two unknown devices showing up in device manager: 1) PCI Device - PCI bus 2, device 0, function 0 2) Unknown Device - on Intel(R) 82801GB/GR (ICH7 Family) LPC Interface Controller - 27B8 any idea what these two might be?

with the p5w dh I'm running at 4-5-4-12 @ 2.1 V (which is what the RAM is rated for).

Well, I ended up buying a P5W DH, and have had no problems with it so far (knocks on wood). The default voltage was 1.8, so I upped it to 2.1, and set the correct timings and its working great.

Is there a easy way to (temporarily) change the boot order? On my old Asus MB, pressing the ESC key during boot would pop up a menu asking which device you wanted to boot from....

DELL is now using VIA in their storage servers

partition magic 7 funked up a partition. help please

i can't even run partition magic 7 on my winxp system :( the start up screen comes on and freezes the system. but then again i've been having all sorts of problems with partition magic, even with v 6 when it would crash in the middle of an operation for no reason. i think theres another...

Adaptec v4.02 doesn't recognize my LiteOn 16x CDRW!

adaptec easy cd creator has become really bloated. its VERY unstable and is more likely to crash your system than work (which is pretty hard to do on win2k or winxp). avoid at all costs. just look at the number of patches they have released. nero is much better.

another vote for the ipaq. aside from a few production problems they are the best (pocketpc) pdas available imho. if viewing pictures is very important for you than the casios might be better since they offer a 16 bit color screen vs 12 bit on the ipaq. also the ipaq has some problems playing...

What is the best program to block pop-up ads?

i've tried many programs and also found webwasher the best overall program. it doesn't consume a lot of system resources and is pretty quick. @guard used to be the best but since they sold the program to symantec, its become bloatware.
