    Thanks for the reply! Yes, I do have XP SP2. I don't have any firewalls on my computer. For what it's worth, I also did not have the Windows firewall enabled. But you wouldn't expect that something like a disabled firewall would cause a messed up installation of IE7, would you?

    Nope, no anti-virus software on the computer at all. Really, it looks exactly like IE6, except it has some new menu items. But the rest is exactly the same.
