WinXP mouse sensitivity fixes?

Edit: Oops, I don't have one that a method that didn't work though. But I'm using WinXP w/ the Explorer v3 too. Here! That was the only thing I did and all the accel went away for me. Of course you have to have "enhance pointer precision" off too. Here's what the site says: 1. Click Start...

Help me!!! Linux hid my partition!!!!!

I think Partition Magic should be able to save your partition...try installing it in WinXP and see if you can change the partition.

CM751-Worth buying?

I bought my CM751 around 4 years ago, and I still love it! It's not as cool as those flat screens out there but the quality is good and it's big :)

Detonator 3 12.41 and TNT2 Ultra Don't Work?

Hi, I d/led the most recent detonator's off of nvidia's site and when I installed it, realized that they have drivers for the TNT2/TNT2 Pro but not the ultra, and windows is telling me that my old drivers are still the best fit. Is this right? Should I stick w/ my old 6.5 drivers or is tnt2 pro...

Uncap quake 3 frame rate

if you can set it 120, physics in Quake 3 is fps dependent which is silly but 120 is the optimal number when playing on dedicated servers

1) generic 2d vid card(doesn't count I guess) 2) added a voodoo2 8mb(didn't help playing q2, had a k5-100) 3) complete system upgrade in Fall 99' w/a TNT2U. Still have it now.

Intellimouse help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know for sure since i don't have an optical mouse, but sometimes when my computer doesn't shutdown properly, the numlock light on my keyboard stays lit(i have the abit be6-2 mobo). Is it shutting down ok? If it is then I dunno :)

Change WIndows 2000 boot screen (not logon)

http://www.nikkie-luuc.demon.nl/ Has great information about modding the looks of your windows. I think Win2K's boot screen was on there, although I do remember a warning saying that some people get errors when changed.

Hauppauge WinTV pci Black Screen!

:( I just bought one and hooked everything up. First I installed the drivers on the CD and I got a black screen but you could here the audio fine. You could switch channels and hear the sound but the screen stayed black, not even a flicker. So I upgraded to the lastest drivers with the lastest...

AncientPC: No, it's not like that for all FPS :). Try playing a veteran Quake player 1v1. Even if both of you "know the map" and have about equal aim, the quake player should win, assuming he has better movement and resource control :). (dunno about teamplay...) lsd: hehe mine's...

Well I would recommend arctic silver, and about 1/2 a pea-sized drop spread evenly with a credit card(or some other hard card) should be enough...I think :)

Unreal Tournament

I prefer Q3 over UT, UT is a good game, just feels weird to me. And I don't think CS is on par with Q3 or UT due to the simplicity of CS. UT/Q3 requires precise aim, movement, armor/weapon/health and more prediction. But then again I prefer dueling rather than teamplay which CS really have :)...

How do I do a timedemo in Q3A 1.27g?

bring down the console and type "/demo demo127" w/o the quotes.It's not the same as demo001 tho...There's also a program that converts 1.17 demos to 1.27 by Strider but I can't find a link right now...hope that helps w00h00 this message promoted me to a regular member instead of...
