They both have pretty equal compatibility. It comes down to what your player is happy with. Some like -R and some like +R but most will play both. I'm partial to the +Rs myself, but I've used both without any problems. Checkout dvdrhelp.com for more info on each format.

Am I the only one having a problem? Both the link I posted above and the one Brad posted show the price at $39.99 AR for me. Why is it coming up at $59.99 for me and nobody else?
I don't know about the EZ Armor, but I've been using their eTrust EZ Antivirus since it came out and it's been rock solid. I actually first heard about it from AnandTech a few years ago when it was free. I've been using it ever since. I like it better than Norton and McAffee.
So far it looks like 3 votes for P4 and 1 for dual Athlons. The slowest part of my workflow is the mpeg2 encoding. It can take over a day to encode footage. Thank you everyone for your input.

I need some advice for a new system. I haven't kept up with the processor scene since the P3 was introduced so I have no idea which way to go. The system will be used solely for video production - mpeg2 encoding, DV editing & rendering, Adobe After Effects, etc. - lots of power hungry apps...
What are you talking about? Sanyo isn't a new player in the optical world. As a matter of fact, Sanyo developed the Burn-Proof Technology found on most optical drives today.
I've had a pretty good experience with HostGo. I've been using them for multiple sites for over a year now. They are very reasonable and their tech support is excellent! My questions/problems are usually answered within 10 minutes. Check them out.
I'm looking for a decent 16x SCSI burner with BurnProof or equivalent. I've found tons of deals on IDE drives. I even have a 16x Teac IDE but I want to switch back to SCSI. Anyboy know of any good deals to be had on one?
Thanks
Whatever the cost, it's too damn much! Is it just me or are refill prices rising? I just went to replace a black cartridge for my Epson and it was $28!! Why does black cost more than the color?!? I tried a generic brand and it wasn't nearly as good as the Epson brand. I heard that OD had a...
XTreme Shopper doesn't mention anywhere on their site that the Nikon 950 is a refurb. Does anyone know for sure whether or not this is a new retail package or not? $400 after rebate for this camera is an awesome deal for a great camera.
Hi, I am having a wierd problem with a brand new installation of Win 98se. I did a clean install of the OS on a freshly partitioned and formatted drive. After Windows starts, it acts as if it is constantly checking for something or almost like it's "refreshing" every 4 or 5 seconds...
