So I have this Sunnon blower which moves a lot of air and is on the noiser side. I have it currently hooked to a FanMate 2 and running at the lowest setting (~5V) and it still moves a good amount of air. There is a slight buzz to the fan that decrease with speed, so I was wondering if I can...

Just installed NV5 Silencer

CS:S on 6800GTO

I have the GTO as well, and I am fairly certain they are all PCI Express. Anyway, I have it unlocked and OCed to 401/1101 on the stock cooling (which will be replaced shortly with a Zalman VF700-Cu). 3Dmark05 results of ~5500. Why are they not fast enough to make use of 256 MB?

NV Silencer Problems?

PCains: Interesting. I am looking to get one for my Dell GTO as well. Did you get a Rev 2 of the Silencer? I wonder if you could pile some thermal tape on the GPU to "build it up"?

Cheval, Let us know your impressions. Does it appear to make good contact with the RAM and GPU right out of the box? I know with rev. 1, many people had to sand down the HS to get it to make contact. How easy was installation? How much did your temps drop? Thanks.

77 degrees in games too hot for 6800?

Well, then you should probably add at least 10 degrees on to that 70s reading. The temps drop surprisingly fast after exiting a game since it typically kicks into 2-d mode when moving through the menus of games. Regarding temps, my 6800 GTO in my Dell 8400 case (not known for cooling!) runs...

Hows this for 3DMark03 & 05 scores

Yep, they look about right. I am using 75.9 drivers for my 6800 GTO (Dell brand) and have the pipes and shader unlocked, and OCed to 401/1101 (haven't tried to go higher yet). My 3dmark05 scores come in just over 5500. I need to work on the cooling (stock cooling now). What do your temps...

What's the Geforce 6800 GTO?

I too was able to unlock my pipes and shader without a hitch on my Dell GTO. Currently running OCed at 401/1100 (3dmark05 score of 5494). I haven't tried any higher yet, but there is still room to go. No artifacts playing HL2 or any of the 3dmark05 tests.

Looks like they are now discerning between the GTO and vanilla 6800's in the product descriptions on the Dell outlet site. If you click on the system identifier it lists some as 6800 and others as 6800 GTO. The "spreadsheet" view still says 256 MB NVIDIA though. Remains to be seen if they...

I can't get the OPs deal either (I assumed it was in SB but it may be in HOME division which is where I see $100 off). It is weird that they offer onboard video now. They are no longer offering th NP 9800. And the Pro seems to be cheaper ($200 above the onboard video).

Save roughly $7.00 per month on Comcast broadband internet if you are not a cable subscriber.

Just to chime in with the deal I got after complaining how they (Comcast) only have good deals for new subscribers. They eventually "found" a deal for me: $65 per month for broadband (silver) + digital cable. About $30 less than what I was paying before. They gave me the deal for 16 months...

Also take a look at onecall. I got my TRV18 from them right after Christmas for about $75 cheaper (after rebate) than that with free FedEX overnight delivery. They are also an authorized Sony dealer.

freeabc, YMMV, however, when I talked with a guy at OM this morning, he said I could bring back my Cendyne drive (even if opened) and they would refund the $10. He said I would just return the drive and re-buy it at the lower price. I haven't actually done it, and your OM may not be as flexible.
