I can confirm that my 10-18-2008 FDOU 0842X Jasper has the same sticker on the side of the box. You may be on to something here.
Here's a picture of mine.
secretanchitman, I beg to differ about the manufacture date. As posted previously, I have an arcade that was manufactured on 10/18 and is a jasper. Also, my unit is lot # 0842x and team is FDOU. All the other points you made where acurate in my case.
Sorry for the delay in response to...
OK, I just picked up an Arcade bundle today at the Geneva, IL Walmart. It is a 0842x FDOU manufactured on 10/18 and it is 12.1 amp, with the 150w power supply and built in 256 MB of memory. So it appears that the lot # and/or manufacture date is not as important an indicator of a unit being...
To stop the PC from automatically restarting, right click on "My Computer" and select the "Advanced" tab. From there select the "Startup and Recovery Settings" button. Then in the "Startup and Recovery" window, uncheck the "Automatically restart" checkbox. Select OK to exit out of all dialog...
FYI, I bought a MSI Neo4 Platinum SLI in May with an 3700+ San Diego and it has been running great since! Not a single crash/hang and Cool n' Quite works fine. Maybe the revisions and BIOS releases fixed any major issues, or maybe I'm just lucky!
FYI, I just built a new system with an MSI Neo4\SLI and a SD 3700+ this past weekend. I am happy to report that all is working great!. I'm loving my new system. I haven't tried OC'ing yet, but will after I get everything installed and setup.
Add me to this list too Joe. I just ordered from Monarch. Order# 346368. A MSI Neo 4 SLI. A SD 3700+, 2 GB Patriot Memory and a WD Raptor 74GB. Now let's see if I can stand the waiting!
I'm looking to build a new computer and plan on doing some video editing. So far I am looking at an MSI nForce4 board with a venice A64 and starting with 2GB of memory, and eventually 4GB. What is the best route to go to achieve this? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Your girlfriends EX sounds like a real knucklehead! Flashing the BIOS has NOTHING to do with the CPU!
Anyway, I just built a systems with an Athlon XP 1900+ and I am very happy. As long as you buy a quality motherboard and power supply the systems will be VERY stable. The Athlon XP runs...
You didn't say what OS you are using. A "feature" of Windows XP is to just reboot when you get a blue screen. Obviously this appears as a spontaneous reboot. When Windows XP boots back up it will give you a message saying that it experienced a serious error (or something like that). I know...
yeah, I thought the ASUS board uses a Realtek chip for the LAN! As far as I know, the MSI boards are the only ones that use the nForce Audio, and LAN chipset support.
I just built my new system with the Asus A7N266-C. So far so good. I put in a Atlhon XP 1900+, an MSI Ti4400 GeForce 4 card, 512 MB Crucial 2100 in a nice shiny Lian-Li PC60 USB case. Sweet!
Anyway, the two sticks of RAM requirement is'nt really necessary for the 415 because you don't have...
I'd go with a Pocket PC. I currently have an iPAQ and love it. If you're a techno geek like me then definately go with a Pocket PC. I have a wireless network card on my iPAQ and have a wireless access point. I can surf the net from my Pocket PC and play mp3z off of my computer. Also, I have...
Oops!!! Didn't see that you had system information link.
Anyway, From what I can see, the PC133 memory is most likely the cause of any slowness. The Sis chipset is decent, but using PC133 SDRAM with an AMD XP 1800 probably isn't the best way to go.
As far as the CPU temperature is concerned, 43 degrees celcius is fine. Motherboard Monitor is a nice program for system monitoring. Your can find it here.
To asnwer your question about speed, supply some more information (Motherboard Model, Memory amount, Hard drive etc...) and we may be...
I'll third that!!! I'm looking to upgrade my PC and am very interested in the nForce solution. Been reading various reviews around the net, but would love to see one from the best!!!!
How about it?
Geezman
Third time the charm?
Any info on this matter would be greatly apprecited. I looked at the manual for the A7N266-C and it states:
"The total number of banks must not exceed five: ie.: two dual load modules and one single load manual. Note: Do not populate DIMM Socket 3 with any dual load...
Does anyone know if the problem with underclocking the memory bus when all three memory slots are filled has been rectified? I know that MSI released a new bios a few months ago that supposedly fixed this problem. I'm looking at getting the Asus A7N266-C and I have three twin bank Crucial 2100...
It's time for me to buy a new PC. I usually buy a bare bones system and transfer my drives and graphics card over from my old PC. I've usually bought a barebones system from various vendors (GamePC.com; MicroPro.com etc...) Does anyone have any recommendations on places to check out? I'm...
