CPU Benchmarks on Anandtech.

May be it is just those marketing that keep makes me think CPU has gone a lot faster. On Benchmarks - Core i7 Quad Core 2.93 Ghz is about 4 times faster then Pentium M 1.8Ghz That is 3 more core, 1 Ghz faster, all other tech improvment.... etc Now i know this is totally unscientific. But...

I brought my Pentium M Dothan Laptop nearly 4 years ago. Looking at that graph. Buying a TOP of the Line DESKTOP CPU today will only give me less then 4 times the performance of a Mid Range Laptop CPU. This is like buying a $1000 System today that is only 4x faster then a $500 System 4...

Windows 7 and RealTek AC'97 Audio Distortion

I am having similar problem. I may have found the cause of it. But i hope you guys will verify Download DPC latency Checker. http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtml And see if you are having abnormal numbers. Currently i am having 600+us which is very high for an idle machine.

Why are there so little Bluetooth Mouse?

Is there any technical reason behind it? Bluetooth uses more power? High Latancy? RF is cheaper tom implement?

Does PSU on == Computer on?

Becuase my power switch Pin on My motherboard is damage. ( And changing or buy or RMA is not an option for me ) So i found a way to turn on the PSU was by puting a wire in between the Green Wire ( Power ON signal ) in the PSU plug and to a Black wire ( ground ). Now when i switch on the...

Thanks... that is why i thought as well. I was thinking using the Case power switch and connect it directly to the PSU plug.......... But i have always thought it will need a relay or some sort ............. Otherwise will i get a electrical shock?

Apart from changing Mb of coz. I get a guy telling me to put a wire through the Power ON pin to ground in the PSU plug to the MB. This will mean i can turn on the PSU. And to further develop this idea can i put my Power Switch wire to the PSU unit?

When i was testing my computer i use a screw driver to touch the 2 pin ( Power switch ) on my Motherboard to start up my computer. Somehow i accidentally touched it with a Speaker pin which results in a fire spark. Ever since then the power switch bin does not work anymore and i have to rely on...

Well........... I would think apart from the 64 bit Athlon 64 isn't as advance as Dothan........ At least Dothan 2Ghz Maximam power is only 42W............................

I read most of the article on the net and they all seems to point out one thing. Give credit to intel because they manage to make a chip the same only only just slighly slower with a 55% increase of pipeline. While i personally think this is quite a achivement as well but it makes me wonder...

Solution to my problem........ stupid problem....

Me and my friends rented two flat together. Which is next to each other ( next to as in attahced together. Not opposite each other. Our bacanly are stick togther and seperate by a think wire metal ) The problem is. We need ONE broadband. In so we also need ONE and only ONE telephone line...

How much Bandwidth a printer need??

so a printer using USB ( version number doesn't matter ) is good because it is faster than paralle and Plug and Play. And my theory ( or thought or common sense ^_^ ) is correct that USB 2.0 is nothing more than USB 1.1 in Home uses printer.

i always thought AMD don't stand a chance if they can't ramp up the clock speed of their 64 bit CPU.......... and i recently heard all those heat problems that Athlon 64 is creating........ Now i can't see Intel Win either...... Of coz apart from Using Pentium M, coz i am obsess with it.

Is ATI planning on releasing a .13 micron 9800pro?

i don't understand............... since ATI is now friends of Intel............ and Intel is properbly the best at 0.13 ( Since Northwood Is produce in 0.13 ) Then if Intel produce ATI chips, doesn't that help intel as well since they can then quickly abondon 0.13 fabs and move on to 0.09...

sorry............ i have edited my question......... do i need more than one ip to use DMZ........... Since i only have one ip, but setting port is very long procedure so i thought, what is this Muti DMZ for?? If Muti DMZ allow many computer to be in DMZ with one ip than why not set it that...

A normal Router has one wan port and 4 lan port. Some router specify that it can have 65Mbps through put. I suppose that means you can use a 65Mbps boardband. ( Some buffalo and PCi router ) 1. So if i tranfer a file from a computer on the same network to another computer on the same network...
