Best Buy finally opening two locations IN NYC !!!

Sounds nice, but still way out of my way:( I work near Battery Park, and live way up by Yonkers, so from either location No. Blvd quite a hike. But Chelsea Store, 60 West 23rd Street aquick 2min subway ride from the job, I can get there and back, and still have time for a coupla slices and a coke;)

Can something be done to consolidate all those "Sticky Files" into one and call it something like FS/T FYI? I mean, as of right now, there are 9 stickies on the page. When you post a topic, you start off half way down the page, and before you know it, your thread is 2 or 3 pages deep before you...

Lock files on zip drive

Well, yeah, you have to enter the password in order to mount the disk, once you do, it'll work as usual till you eject the disk, after that you would have to enter it again for access. If you want to fully "Unprotect" the disk. after right-clicking and putting in your password, you would enter...

Lock files on zip drive

The Iomegaware software has a util built in that lets you password protect the disks. After installing the software, put the zip disk you want to lock in the drive then, in My Computer, right-click on the Zip drive icon and select "Protect", it'll give you the option to write protect, or...

Filling small holes in case - any good way?

Is too much thermal grease harmful?

Actually, too much CAN reduce the thermal conductivity between the die and the heatsink, too much grease can act as an insulator, defeating the main purpose of the grease. As far as electrical conductivity goes I don't think you have to worry, the grease's dielectric properties prevent this...

how far can the xp2000 go?

Another option for you Paolo is the CircuitWorks Conductive Epoxy. You can use the CircuitWorks Heat Sink Grease as the gap filler and the epoxy to close the connections. I used the point of a very thin sewing needle and a magnifying glass to apply the Conductive grease.

Paolo, Look Here the same people that make the Conductive grease, make "CircuitWorks Overcoat Pen, The pen dispenser which applies a tough protective conformal coating" AND CircuitWorks Conformal Coating Remover Pen :) Everything you need is there.

There very well may be but off the top of my head I can't think of any, I did it around 2 weeks ago, and have no problems what-so-ever. Of course you use a tiny amount of the conductive grease, and you have to be careful when you put the heatsink on, but once you have it on, it covers it and...

I unlocked my 1800+, on the first try, with absolutely "0" hastles, took me around 30min tops!:cool: I used Circuitworks non-conductive Heatsink grease as the gap filler, and CircuitWorks Silver Conductive Grease to close the L1 bridges. Worked like a charm. I followed these Instructions and...

New Motherboard Monitor out!

It's pretty nice, (So far). It has some new features like showing CPU usage in the tray, also has an option, during install, to over-ride the "Hide inactive icons" thingie in XP, but that's no biggie;)
