Dual Core and Cool and Quiet (Opteron?)

My X2 4400 ran fine with Cool&Quiet enabled. Replacing it with Opteron 170 made it fail as the DFI BIOS doesn't support Opteron's (PSS power states) properly. Per AMD a BIOS fix should fix it.

Dual Core and Cool and Quiet (Opteron?)

Was told by AMD that the 939 Opteron's support Cool and Quiet (=Power Now), but that it may requre BIOS updates as the PSS are fewer (2 only) than compared to the Athlon 64 line. I have written to DFI to check if they are aware of it.

worked find at 2400 with X2 it looks the errors i get are driver issues --- difference between Athlon 64 X2 and Opteron 170's.

Enermex Adjustable Speed with DFI NF4 Ultra-D runs very low RPM

Have the Fan hooked up to the CPU connector. When the fan is setup to max, it runs only at 1100 RPM. When I lower the rmp speed dail, it stops all together. Wondering if the CPU FAN connctor adjust RPM automatically based on temp. With XP-90 iidle temp is 51 degrees Celcius. If I hook up...

Cool'n'Quiet with AMD X2 4400+ w DFI Nf4 Ultra-D

The biggest problem is that the lastest AMD X2 processor drivers crashes at re-boot. Had to use System Restore to fix it. Any idea what is wrong??

Any bets on my new XP2100+ Tbred Bs from NewEgg?

Need to set the multipliers by cutting the bridges on the CPU's to 17. Mine is working fine at 17x 140 = 2380 @ 1.75V Temp with SK7 and 80mm FANS is CPU1 = 55 and CPU2 = 60. A friend of mone could get more than 2100Mhz.

Blow Out Special WOW, AMD Athlon 1600+CPU OEM - From Newegg! ($54.99!)

Official Audigy Problems from Creative

Using an EPOX 8KHA+, I am not able to use the Audigy card as it cut-out in a few minutes after playing MP3 music. Audigy claims it to be PCI latency problem (with VIA mobo's). When setting PCI latency to max of 255, the cut-outs occur less frequently. VIA PCI latency Latency Patch didn't help...

Question? KK266 with 1.2Ghz 266 CPU multiplier problem

I have problems with CPU multiplier with the rev 1.2 KK266 and 1.2Ghz factory unlocked CPU. It have tried the 227 and even the latest 305 BIOS releases. The multiplier is random, and at one point, set it at 9.5, resulted with 133FSB at a speed of 1461 at default voltage. Anyone had success??
