Which wireless G routers support bridge mode?

You should change it to an address in the same pool. Just remember to not put it within your DHCP range. Im not sure how the sveasoft have implemented the WDS function, but I believe it can act as a repeater as well, that will expand the range as well.

Just disable the DHCP server, and change the IP-address on the second unit, and you are good to go. Remember that all the wireless settings must be the same on both units.

There are only a few 11g routers that supports wds bridging. Asus WL-500G, Buffalo Airstation WBR-G54 and Belkin 11g router supports it very well. The WRT54G from linksys does have a WDS client built in, but you have to connect to it from another device that supports WDS. WAP54G from linksys...

why not use a custom firmware that you can boost the power. You can change the power from 32mW to 84mW with most of the custom firmwares out there. I have tried the sveasoft version with great success. this also adds WDS bridging and other great features...

Around 30 secs. It's the zipzoomfly that stalls everything. Connected with a 100 Mbps in norway (uninett aka the uni network in norway). 400 students with a 2 Gbps full duplex at their dorm is nice :)

Does the DI-614+ have an unlink port?

The 614+ got a auto mdi-mdx LAN ports that means it will automaticly change its mode. So just use a regular cable. But remember to change the IP adress of the 614+ so it would suit the subnet for the other router. Then you would need to shut off the DHCP server of the 614+. When this is done...

Actually the sound dies here when the fsb are over 175 (I got a nice p4 1,8 c1 stepping). It also seems to work better if you got the agp/pci lock to auto rather than manual.

Why upgrade Dell TrueMobile to Orinoco Gold?

Dell 1150 does also support 128bit encryption. I would keep the firware you have because I have noticed higher speed with the 1150 (mini-pci) than the orinoco gold card.

I haven't seen any traffic shaping and bonding of several lines in Clarkconnect or smoothwall. I haven't tried IPCop yet. And Astaro seems fine, but it does cost alot of money for commercial use.

If you got windows xp and sp1 just try to automaticly install drivers when you right click on the usb device. It should work. If not go to www.viaarena.com for usb2 drivers, since you got a via motherbard.
