If you have a local Costco B&M, they sell two-packs of both the color and the black carts for the 880 for (as far as I remember) about $34 each two-pack. These are the original Epson carts. I think they also sell carts for the 777 and some HP models.

You are basically correct. Most so-called "residential gateways" have multiple Ethernet ports. One 10Mbps connects to your internet service and uses one IP address, either static (like you have) or dynamic (DHCP or PPPoE). The others (acting as a switch) connect to your home network...
I just replaced a 466 with a brand new 800 in my system. I know that I can get better $/performance numbers with AMD, but this way I don't have to replace Mobo, SDRAM, etc.
BTW, if anyone wants my 466, it's on Ebay right now.
Also, don't forget to upgrade to the latest Windows drivers (Detonator 3). At least on my system (Celeron 466, Windows 2K Pro), they upped my 3DMark 2000 scores by 40%:D
