GuruNet - couple of keystrokes on anything in any document it tells you all about it, or spellchecks it if that's what you needed. or click on an area code it can tell you where that is, what the weather's like, give roadmaps, etc. It's an ANYreference thing.
an unconditioned 2yo is smarter than most allegedly intelligent adults i've known. to be so trainable to follow all the correct and rules of thinking obediently is no great achievement.
that sounds really cool! would you recommend it on purpose? we do take what we percieve for granted, forgetting that actually it's our own brains determining what we pay attention to. i wonder if it works like that for vision too?
<< Now we all know what the REAL question is (though it may not be appropriate to ask):
Hair or no hair?
Or, I don't know ....maybe some of you guys like a pasty-white women who is covered from head-to-toe in thick, bushy grizzly-bear fur. Any takers? >>
yeah, i'm curious how much it...
LOL
i really enjoyed that. It sounds like they have an excellent relationship. you need someone you can fight with, not someone who expects you to behave like someone else who's 'nice' all the time. i bet their sex life's interesting too. ;)
*sigh* sounds like emotional blackmail? that's never a good thing. does she feel insecure in the relationship to be prepared to ditch it for her job if yours is better?
i do. once i'd got used to the trackpoint on my laptop i find the mouse on the desktop bloody unwieldy and i have trouble finding the damn thing. trackpoint's cool, though i have seen my daughter in a really unco mood sweep it across the screen and activate everything on the desktop. :D
depends on your perspective. it's certainly indicative of dis-ease with what many people like to call 'real life', meaning what they do to keep themselves too busy to think with their own brains. :)
:) and second choice for cheese value, i gotta agree with emos on them. could it have inspired aliens? something about the scream on that kid seems to overlap in my mind.
the desired replacement is an agp tnt2. it fits in a slot but the other should be removed. they don't run together. can the built in one be disabled perhaps? [its 366mhz btw].
help, please? we want to upgrade the graphics card in an HP comp and the rage 3d card appears to be built into the motherboard. is this likely and does it mean it can't be done?
i don't believe in life, so it's a bit hard to take death seriously. if this is a dream, and it does appear to be, then i expect just to wake up, only i don't remember what that is.
anyone know about the holographic universe theory?
does anyone know a more stable multipage browser than earthnavigator? i have a problem with one page per window things like explorer and netscape because i tend to accidentally turn off the window i'm linking from. i love earthnavigator but it hangs up a lot.
as has been said it's law here and habit, though i lately i do it only as i get to the main road. i'm not as conditionedly obedient as i used to be.
there was a really interesting series about car accidents on tv a while ago. trouble with laws like this is the more 'safe' they make it [including...
