1080ti pricing normally

Just a quick one, As it's annoying looking at what the miners have done. How much would the average 1080 ti cost us now to buy new if there were no such thing as mining? I'm sure 900 wouldn't be it anyway lol

Quick question regarding upgrade

Also brother one quick question i don't have the answer to yet. I have a standard enough 1080 24inch monitor, can i just use my HDMI cable into my graphics card, or should i get a display port cable? is there much of a graphical difference? Thanks man

the 1080 remark was basically due to the fact that thee cards are 1000 dollars, even the 1060 6gb cards are like 500 aren't they? im just looking for around 40fps minimum on these games, AMD or nVidia, i'm not paying 500 for a card though, when rewind 2 years and i could buy a card that was...

That's actually a fantastically well informed reply, answered exactly what i asked. With my only further question being basically, how come we can't get any of those cores over 2102 even when dropping their temps down by 30c on LN2, is it just a physical limit? I mean, it wouldn't be anything...

Hey guys, Does anyone know enough about microprocessors to know what causes CPU's and GPU's to crash, throw up errors or lock up when overclocking when it's not heat related? You know what i mean, i always thought for years that what limits your cards core from continuing to be overclocked...

Thanks for the reply. Have you noticed that you can use graphics cards that are like 7 years old and stuff like the 7950 and gtx 460 etc in new games from this year if you want, does that mean that there isn't any progress being made in actual visual quality? like it seems that the newer cards...

hm i kinda thing kingdom come was already done in the witcher, the witcher would have easily look just as great had the size of the game been small no? it's similar enough as it is, and look at Crysis 3, that probably looks as good bar maybe the lighting HDR and bloom parts of lighting anyway...

And let's not forget the old Rainbow Six Seige being used as a benchmark for some reason, when it's one of the ugliest games i've seen in years, the lighting and textures are so unrealistic it actually reminds of of halflife 2... i bet that game if properly optimized could be run on the...

Yah i agree, but even though we're in a stalemate with the 4k stuff, isn't this the time for companies to grind down and start making a bunch of beautiful looking games that work perfectly at those resolutions to keep us occupied, apart from Play Unknowns and Fornight, it seems like everything...

You can make money with a GPU yes, just not alot. But if you have about 5 or more GPU's, you can make quite alot, the only problem is it'll take you a year or 18 months to make back your hardware costs before you actually start making any money. Bastards! I don't think there'lll be an upgrade...

redacted Ryzn haha. Do you think it's worth upgrading your ram and board for hundres of dollars per stepping change for those frames just on Ryzen? the same isn't so for Intel. you're barely notcing any difference at all on core i CPU's. literally maybe 1 or 2 between 2 generations of Ram...

You'd recommend the z420? But that doesn't support Dual Xeons. I'm wanting to put 2x Xeon 5650's in this machine as i do alot of Modelling / Rendering, and video editing, as well as wanting to play games on the highest settings at 1080p (don't care about 4k as my monitor doesn't support it)...

OK i think i found my one. the Dell Precision T7500, comes with 2x Hexa Core 5650's. 24gb Ram, 1tb HDD's etc. ALl i have to do is stick my 1080 in it... thank's so much! Have you had any luck overclocking on these processors?

Graphics cards are insane at the moment, if you'd like some advice on a card you can upgrade to that's actually really well priced and would be a nice stopgap for you, I'd recommend picking up either the Radeon 460 2gb or 480 4gb. The second one can be pricey, but the first one is a GREAT little...
