Well I'll explain why I personally got the GTX 1050 rather than 1060 - from Amazon, the 1050 was $135 and the 1060 3GB was $350. The 1060 would have taken up almost my entire upgrade budget of $400, I ended up paying $235 for an i5 4460 system with 8GB RAM and a 1050. Sure the 1060 is a lot...
Yeah I did read all the posts, sorry if I didn't reply to them all, this thread got a lot more attention than I expected, but thanks for everyones replies anyway! In the end it did make me rethink getting the G4560 as I was worried how that would hold up in future titles, I had already come from...
Thought I might update you guys on what I ended up getting... and it was actually none of my existing choices! Well I did end up ordering the GTX 1050 from Amazon for $135, which arrived today, but ended up going for a used PC that my cousin no longer needed, as he has moved into a small...
Hey guys, just saw this video with PUBG benchmarked on the 2200G Vega GPU and unfortunately it isn't playable at 1080P: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGWT_syIilI
So I think I'll stick with my original plan of a GTX 1050, pretty much just deciding between the G4560 and Ryzen 2200G as the CPUs...

@epsilon84 thanks, I think I'll stick with my original plan of a GTX 1050 then, I wasn't anticipating such a large difference between the GTX 1050 and the 2200G and 2400G.
@Kenmitch nah I moved on to Windows 10 as soon as it was released
@AtenRa, sorry I forgot to mention it on my original...
Thanks for the reply guys! Hmmm, a lot to consider, based on the points you raised. Sorry I forgot to mention the games that I intend to play the most, they are mainly BF1 and PUBG, though I do occasionally go retro and play a few rounds of Starcraft II every now and then.
I am a bit concerned...
Hey guys, I'm a long time reader of Anandtech (back when Anand used to write the articles himself!) but never got around to making a forum account until today.
As my username might suggest, I'm a bang for buck kind of gamer, so I generally prefer to stay a bit behind the bleeding edge and get...
