Am I missing something? This seems like a good deal how come it hasn't sold out? Is it because it's an ES or because people would rather get the 5650 for half the price and hit 4ghz?

Q9300 or 560BE

Hi yall, It is time to upgrade my E2200 machine and am thinking of the following options. Either a Q9300 ($99 at MC) with a P45 board, or a 560BE with an MSI 785G board ($100 combo from MC). What are your thoughts? I know the Q9300 is a guaranteed quad, but the BE could unlock into a quad core.

So I took the computer completely apart. So much dust and nastiness that I need to clean. Then I took off the HSF and there were globs of thermal plaste all over the CPU, and dust all over the heat sink. Needless to say I am gonna toss this heatsink, clean off the CPU and get a new heatsink...

Undervolted E6550 with passive cooling?

I currently run my E6550 at stock voltage @ 3.15 Ghz and it hits 60C after hours of Orthos. Do you think I could disable the fan on the stock Intel HSF and run it at the stock 2.33Ghz if I lowered the vcore to say something like 1V?

I dont understand how you guys are getting $388. The subtotal is $598, now with the $100 rebate its $498. There is no $150 rebate or coupons that work! Or am I missing something?

Kid in M3 vs. Cop in Camaro Z28.

The M3 didnt break down, the kid actually DID get away. All they did was copy and paste the beginning of when the BMW stopped initially and slap it on the end of the clip to make it like he stopped. Wonder why there was no opening clip of him stopping and then taking off?

Raptors in RAID0 keep slowing down and making clicking noises!

At totally random times, atleast once or twice a week when using the computer, the raptors keep making this clicking sound, windows freezes and programs stop responding. I reboot the comp and I see that usually one of the RAID0 disks "has errors". After that I usually reboot a few times and it...

Dualie AMD or just a fast P4

P4, Its alot more stable. I just recently switched to Intel and its so quiet and not to mention fast. Plus dual CPUs arent beneficial in alot of things. The new "C" version P4s are alot more bang for the buck, with an 800 Mhz FSB and HT, I see no reason so go AMD anymore.

I currently use a 10/100 NIC, I plan to get a D875PBZ this week and wanted to know if I should throw out the NIC and use the nice onboard gigabit or stick with my NIC. I know the Intel gigabit chip is supposedly marvelous, but doesnt it aquire alot of CPU utilization? Thanks

SOF II randomly kicks out and messes up my colors
