I installed this card in my wife's older Athlon XP based PC and she loves it! She only plays web games and a few older Steam games (LFD1, CS). Works great and oc'd nicely to almost 4670 specs. Definitely extended the life of her PC for another 2 - 3 years!

Native IDE vs AHCI for SATA HD (clicking sounds)

Thanks for the info. I did a full long format on the drive and I downloaded and ran the Seagate Seatools diagnostics without any errors. Considering the faster boot time, I think I will just stay with native IDE and pass on AHCI. I'm not planning on doing any hot-swapping any time soon.

Athlon II X3 or Phenom II X3?

Watch out for the "Open Box" processors, someone may have already tried to overclock and/or unlock it and returned it when it failed to unlock or turned out to be a lousy overclocker.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to start shopping for a new power supply. I checked the motherboard manuals for Asus and Gigabyte and they recommend at least a 500W unit. I've had good luck with Antec so I'll watch for a sale on one of their models. Thanks Again!

Blockbuster Free One Month Trial

Your not liable, Walmart, Netflix and Blockbuster all managed to lose one of my DVD's. Probably my mailman snatching the returns out of my mailbox. I didn't have to pay for any of them although I'm not sure that they didn't ultimately receive them since I canceled after the free trial.
