Please help me!!!!!!!!!!! Motherboard is being bad =(

About the only thing i can think of off hand is your ram isn't seated correctly. DDR ram is really difficult to seat. I nearly rma'd a stick of crucial before trying one last time to get it to work. Pressed down really, really hard and it worked. Hope that helps trav

With people like that i have come to realize that they don't know that computers are powered by electricity. They are run by magic. And you gave him bad juju. When something doesn't work they don't go...well, maybe something is loose or failed......To them the whole computer is a piece of crap.

help - probs adding second HD

My burner (tdk 12x10x32) is supposed to only be the master on the secondary channel. I don't know if that will help but wtf. Also, have you tried just installing the 2 hd? Try this setup....hd1 primary master....cd2 primary slave.....burner secondary master.....hd2 secondary slave. Hope that...

BIG NEWS -- Not only did I get a BSOD, I got a NEW BSOD!

I'm just popping off before Guilty does. The settings he recomends will not harm your computer and you can change them at any time in windows. Just takes a reboot. Anyway, The csfu=1 means conservative swap file u(something)=1 (true). It will use up all of the system memory before swapping...

Always getting errors when loading UT

When i first got ut i had aproximately the same system. P3600, 128 mb pc100, 30 gig, and v3 3000. I never had the problems that you have. And it's really strange that ut eventually works. You would think that it would either work or not. Ok, this might be constructive. You have 320 of ram...

How should i set this up ???

I think the tdk burner has to be the primary device and the dvd should be slave. I'm pretty sure that my tdk said that in the manual. What exactly do you mean set up 2 drives? What are there specs? Just off-hand i would make the faster drive the C: drive (master) and the other drive slave...

Iwill KK266-R onboard sound-->can't disable

Yeah, just check the manual... there is a jumper. I have the ka266-r with the gtxp and i'm running fine. I'm looking at my manual and it's on the bottem left directly in front of the bottemmost pci slot.

i'll try to make brief answers: 1. more ram means you can have more programs open at the same time..more is better..up to 256 2. the memory runs at 133 mhertz or something...faster is generally better 3. without ram your comp won't run....it's for storage of programs you are actually running as...

Computer Will Not Restart

You didn't say which window os you were using but i had that same problem with win98. I found an update there that allowed an extra 2 secs for the hd to shut down. If i understood the explanation of the update it seems that fast cpus shut down before the hd is ready...and it hangs on shutdown...

I don't know how much your shipping is on that motherboard or what. But, at crucial, 256 of ddr 2100 and 256 of pc133 is within $10. The motherboards (on pricewatch) are within $20. So, looking at those prices i would think upgrading to ddr would be worth it. But i may be just talking out my...

Radeon 32mb DDR problems - Desperate!!
