Is there a more updated QT Lite?

The latest update to FF disabled my QT plugin. Trying to fix it I found your post. Installed it and it worked a treat (after fixing FF). Outstanding and a welcome hack, fapdrol. Thanks for prolonging the QT Alternative legacy.

Thanks. Btw, turns out PCMag is reviewing Viewsonics... they just weren't being ranked high enough to show up where I was looking. Sigh. FYI, I think I'm down to the VX2370SMH (Viewsonic) and the BenQ GW2450. Never bought BenQ before but the reviews are pretty good.

I still have my VX2435WM (recommended by the forum here) and still love it. My question is: VX2739wm, anyone give this a spin yet? They're claiming 1ms response and 76hz refresh rate. I did see a post on the forums that someone tested the lag and found it to be very low.

Hey. ATI's latest drivers finally allowed me to update my drivers (for the last year they haven't worked with my video card). Now unfortunately anytime the catalyst control center loads it overrides the color profiles I have set for my monitor. Anyone know a way to prevent ATI's color...

Kensings: I run my vx2435wm at 35% brightness with tweaked rgb gammas for calibration. If you are worried about accuracy at a lower brightness you may want to try the profile on this site: http://www.digitalversus.com/article-424.html I found them to be very similar to what I came up with...

Where are you planning on ordering Trean? ToW has been mostly ok... not the best all the time though and they certainly don't seem to take instruction for taping a box closed, but their return policy seems pretty liberal. cboath: Is that from an external 1080 source or from your PC?

Ok, here's the deal... some things work differently on Analog (DSub) versus Digital (HDMI) inputs on the VX24. BUT, what you need to be aware of (like 1920x1080) is that your video card will influence things. ATI drivers at least include special HDTV settings and you need to adjust those...

For those playing along at home. Received 3rd and what will have to be the final VX2435wm from TechOnWeb. The box wasn't taped, and it took them 24 hours to ship it this time (showing up on Friday). There is 1 white stuck pixel. It's 1/3 of the distance from the right side of the screen...

No HDMI, just DVI? I would hope the NEC 2470wnx HDCP compliant anyway. Pricegrabber lists a company called iUnitek selling the NEC for $9 less than NewEgg, but frankly I've never heard of them. I would love for the Viewsonic to be a bit better for gaming, but for the less than the $225...

I noticed today that there is someone on Amazon.com who mentioned they couldn't get their VX24 to go to standby properly with a x850 video card as well. (Mine's an XT PE version, but still.) His fix was he upgraded his whole system. I think I'll just run on the analog line until I upgrade...

Edit: So I tested the monitor on a second PC and it seemed to work ok. When I say seems to, I mean there's still the issue that without any input to TELL it to shut off, it will not go to sleep in HDMI mode. So if you disconnect power while your PC is off, you'll be stuck with a blue screen...

So I received the new vx2435wm today and shipped the old one back via FedEx before even opening the box. Once again (even though I requested it) there was no tape sealing the box closed. :( Bad TechonWeb. So I plug it in, fire it up... and I have the same problem: in HDMI mode the monitor...

Likely the flyback transformer is dying Mallomar. It's what did in my old 17" Viewsonic a month ago. They can last for months or die at any time just like that (shrinking to a single very bright line).

Regarding gaming on a 24" panel... you might be surprised what some vid cards can handle. I have an old x850xt PE and I was surprised how many games I was playing at what I thought was near the cards limits at 1024x768 still have very good fps at 1920x1200. Mind you I'm so far behind in games...

I think the boot up POST screen problem is a video card thing. The DVI-HDMI cable is DVI-D (Digital Only) but my DVI to Analog converter is of course DVI-I (meaning it passes the analog signal as well). I'm thinking my video card sends analog video over DVI during boot up but not digital...

As a quick note, searching the net further I found a comment that Viewsonic's 28" panel occasionally had this problem over HDMI (Blue Screen and not standby). Viewsonic had to release a firmware update to fix it. I wonder if it's related.

Hmm. No this doesn't seem to even automatically detect input. My only option is to pick the input: D-Sub, Video, S-Video, YPbPr or HDMI. There's no priority or autodetect or anything. As a test I plugged a DVI to VGA converter into my vid card and used the analog cable... I get the POST...

I know it's a bit off topic, but can anyone help with this: When I boot using the DVI/HDMI cable I get no signal on my screen until Windows is running. I can connect an analog to get the boot screen and access the BIOS, but I have to disconnect the digital cable to keep my video card happy.
