Slew Foot-
If I were to "invest" in new cards these days what would be the best way? Buy boxed complete collections from every manufacturer? Buy boxed individual packs and leave them unopened? Just looking to stick them in the attic or whatever and collect dust. By "invest" I obviously am not...
Anybody a heavy google voice user and using some kind of device to adapt to a regular cordless phone? It seems like the OBi110 is the most popular (http://www.amazon.com/OBi110-Service.../dp/B0002V8KX6) will work but is a bit kludgey.
I took a new job the other day working from home and...
I hate the stock ICS browser (though it looks like most of my gripes are fixed in 4.0.4) so I've switched to Dolphin on my Nexus but it annoys the hell out of my that every time you open the browser it opens a new tab to your homepage when you already have tabs open. I swear I looked through...
Has anyone seen a relatively cheap bedside cradle for the galaxy nexus? I don't need hdmi or any kind of output...just drop in charging and clock functions.
I stayed at Moon Palace in 2005 or 2006 shortly after they reopened from the hurricane. It was alright. I like Sandals a lot better. Some of the Moon Palace staff was rude and I really got the feeling some of them don't like their jobs. My friend bought a timeshare (or bulk vacation trips)...
Sweet...for posterity the cmd line was:
set avidemux="C:\Program Files (x86)\Avidemux 2.5\avidemux2.exe"
for %%f in (*.avi) do %avidemux% --load "%%f" --audio-process --audio-normalize --audio-resample --save-uncompressed-audio "\mp3\%%f.mp3" --quit
I'm looking for a freeware app to rip the audio from a bunch of avi files (concert footage) to mp3 files. Everything I've found either doesn't work right or has an X second limit and wants you to buy the full version, google has failed me for one of only a few times. Something I can point to...
if exist d:\foo robocopy "C:\foo" "d:\foo" /mir
You can throw an else in there for good measure to do some kind of notification that it didn't find it and to update the drive letter.
I've watched maybe 1 movie and a handful of tv shows via streaming but this still pisses me off. I liked having the option of streaming but it's definitely not worth what they will be charging. They should give you either 1 movie or X hours worth of streaming per month in the DVD only package.
I've bought a bunch of watches from jomashop.com. Basically they sell authentic watches below the minimum price they are allowed to. They buy in bulk from authorized resellers and then sell them for less than the authorized guy is allowed to. Since they aren't authorized this renders the...
They look like Microsoft activation keys to me. Maybe it's not a clue to his murder but he just stole a bunch of keys. Someone try to activate one and see if it works.
Does anyone know if the PS3 version comes with the PC version of Portal 1? I know it comes with the PC version of 2 but the Steam version comes with 2 and a giftable copy of 1.
Does anyone know if the major cloud/online backup players offer the ability to give the service as a gift in someone elses name? I've looked pretty hard and none of them seem to do it presumably because they want you in a non-automatic subscription. I'd like to be able to buy a year or...

Ran the free version of Acronis Easy Migrate. It's actually a 15 day trial but 15 minutes might have been enough. Ridiculously easy to use and it automagically resized the partition. Good stuff.
Looking to move my OS from the current drive to a net new drive and wondering what the best app is? Used to do PC stuff back in the day but really don't have the free time anymore so I'm out of the loop? Back in the day I would have used Ghost...how about Acronis? Anything free? This is a...
Just had a thought, what does this do as far as unencrypted access to the Blu-Ray? Is it likely that someone will write an app that lets you rip a Blu-Ray movie directly to the local hard drive and then watch it later? I could see my Netflix return times decrease significantly if that happens.
I signed up for a year (+2 months free) of Carbonite today, so far I like options better in Mozy but that's obviously no longer an option for the 180GB I'm backing up. I don't like having to manually select video files in each folder, I know I'm going to miss one. Before anyone says anything...
Got the same email, thinking about Carbonite as they have a free Android app that lets you access your files. If I remember the Pandora ad right, there's 2 months free with coupon 'android'. Any other comments on Carbonite vs Crashplan? The selectively skipping files thing above kinda scares me.
