The Y400 is only 14 inch. When I hit her with the 17 inch being heavy and we should go smaller, she responded with "I won't be carrying it much". Think she wants the 17" :)

Core 2 Duo Overclocking - which CPU/Chipset combo?

Not what you were considering, but I have the ABIT IP35 Pro with E6600 running at 3.4ghz at 1.40V. I had it at 3.6 with no troubles other than temp hitting 55C with Orthos. 3.4 is 51ish C, although I see 54 sometimes for a brief moment. I can't get above 420 FSB though, regardless of...

Anyone running an E6600 at 8x400 or 9x400fsb on a p35 board?

My overclock Abit IP35 Pro / E6600

Handles 8X425 no problem for 3.4 gHz. I tried lower multipliers with higher FSB's but was having trouble above 470. Could be the RAM, but it is Crucial Ballistix PC6400. 30+ Minutes on Prime95 (Orthos) with no errors. I'll update again soon, but work keeps me busy :).

weird power issue.
