PCI Ver 2.2 quetions.

I got this Airlink wireless 802.11g PCI adaptor from Fry's with the spec of PCI Rev 2.2. I tried it on a Pentium II mobo Abit(BH6, I think it is PCI ver 2.0) and my systems got no video siginal and wouldn't boot. As soon as I took it off everything went back to normal. My question is this just a...

Athlon XP 1800 install / heatsink questions.

Yes you have to take off the strip from the heatsink, and evenly cover a thin layer of artic silver II on the cpu core(cache). make sure not to smear or slide the heatsink during the installation, let it seat evenly on top as you clip the heatsink. Good luck.

!Help! Should I keep the 8500 over the gf2 ultra??

Thanks for all your input guys, its clear that ATI should polish their driver more frequantly and make it their first priority to support the card. I'll be using the DVI connection, does ATI has the best DVI interface over the GF3's? Anyone interest in a Visiontek gf2 ultra w/ DVI + S-video out...

Question, which PSU do you have to turn on first? or you do it at the same time? how can you fire up the 2nd PSU not plugging it to the mobo ATX connector and still get power ???? hmmmm..

!Help! Should I keep the 8500 over the gf2 ultra??

I've a 8500 and gf2 ultra, I don't know which one to keep since I already got a gf3 ti200 on another PC for games. Why and what are the benefit for me to keep the 8500 over the ultra? I mainly want the DVI ouput and the 2D and maybe occassional gaming on that PC when friends are over for LAN...

What FSB and what motherboard are you using VIA AMD 266a users?

1600XP @ 145FSB = 1800XP, 8kha+ mobo on turbo setting, no luck ups and stable as hell, running on 300W PSU w/ 3 7200RPM HD, 2x256MB Crucial DDR2100, DVDROM+CD-R, GF3 Ti 200 video, 3com 905 NIC, Soundblaster Live. Thumbs up.

GF3 Ti200 2D & Color Quality

Ok, nobody has asked this question yet so I might as well want to know from you 2D experts here. Is there any different in terms of sharpness, color, & quality in 2D if you have a DVI TFT monitor connecting to the a different brand of DVI output video card? I know the DVI connection process...

Fry's: Athlon XP1500 + ECS K7S5A Combo $199

Mysticman1, too much hassle to return stuff online and usually losing more money on return shipping as well. Best of all, I don't need to wait for another 5-7 days turn around time to get an exchange from B&M. Sure we pay a couple dollars more + tax but then is worth it.

Looking for inout on the new kt266a boards...

get the shuttle kt266a, is only $89 w/ good overclock options, very stable as their v.2 kt266 they just put in new pin-compitible chip. this will be a very popular board and is cheap.

Look30: that's thread Capping!!!!!!!!!!! t's a good deal for local Fry's stores, save at least $10 bucks on shipping and good return policy. We dont need online stores when Fry offer lower price, I personally like to buy in B&M stores more.

Abit kt7a and southbridge 686 Problems?

Bump^^, yup just dnload the latest BIO will fixed the problem, not sure if the VIA4in1 file has any effects on it, you should install it anyway since is official on VIA website. Abit better release a new BIO supporting the AthlonXP processor for their kt7a board.

Geforce2 GTS & Geforce 256 DDR are the same card???

they 2 different cards, the gf2 gts is faster and has a better graphic engine. You can get the gts for as low as under 100.00 right now.
