DEAD: Dell SB Flat Panels: 1800FP $372, 1901FP $457 + more

I registered with Dell, called them and they refused to allow me to get the $423 small business price. Not for home users they said. How do I get them to give me the $423 deal instead of the $529 price. They would go down 10% to $476, but I'm not biting at that price...

So is the P4b266 the best for OC'ing a 1.6A?

p4 ddr boards that support PCI "clock lock"

My ABIT SD7-533 does NOT ! Lotsa overclocking ratios,but no pci-lock feature in the BIOS.

Will Overclocked Northwoods die young?

I've seen one post of a moderately overclocked Northwood that didn't last long even at a rather safe 1.625 volts (this is what I run mine at!). Aceshardware has suggested that the more closely spaced conductors in the Northwoods might cause overclocked chips to fail early due to electromigration...

Thinking about Water Cooling

I overclock my Slot1 P3-700E to 1Ghz using:80Watt peltier,2nd internal power supply,12v relay,copper water block,submersible pump/PVC reservoir,radiator,and a Pabst-8500N fan. hMonitorPro keeps my CPU temp at my chosen 17C +/- 1C using only my CPU thermister. Gave up on Gorbs,other HSFs,and...

Info on V.92 modems.

P.S.: I just bought the Zoom V.92/V.44 PCI modem two months ago and have NEVER successfully connected with it. Normal connection attempt sounds for 3-4 seconds,then a an irritating whine noise that doesn't ever connect before timing out. Will sell it to anyone more foolish than myself for $25.

I live in Lancaster county PA,representing the low-tech center of America. I'm using 2 bonded modems to consistantly get 101K access(50.6K X 2),yielding a 12.6K/sec transfer rate.

I purchased Midcore's software 2 years ago,saw nothing in the documentation that suggested any ongoing fees,and have been using it free ever since. No username/passwords/etc were ever requested;just installed it and it works. I totally recommend it. Easy 101K access. MarkAtTheZone
