    eerp. I think i found the solution: change the value of "PerfLevelSRC" in regedit from 3333 to 3322. this disables powermizer when on AC power. the 2222 value disabled powermizer completely (including on battery mode). I haven't tested this out yet...but it seems to be my solution.

I had to go into the NVIDIA control panel and enable dual view. then, without touching anything, the correct resolutions for both monitor and hdtv were automatically set to the correct native resolutions as soon as i hit "apply" for dual view. glad it...

    it actually sounds more like hl2 isn't detecting your graphics card correctly and defaulting to directx 7. use the command -dxlevel 90 and see if that helps. also, turn your graphics settings to the highest.

    argh...i tried both of those programs...no luck. they both require the PLL, as they don't have my motherboard listed. I don't think my motherboard has a pll? unless the Winbond W83627HF-AW is the PLL, in the case...CPUFSB had "W83627" listed, but it woudln't detect or let me change anything...

    i belive that's only available for nforce2/3 chipsets...not nforce one. i reinstalled the nforce drivers...still no control pannel applet. i do have nvmixer...but that doesn't give as much control as the control pannel applet. no idea what's going on. :(
