So would this work?
ComputerA------Router1-------Router2------ComputerB
where:
ComputerA connects to LAN side of Router1 by normal patch cable
ComputerB connects to LAN side of Router2 by normal patch cable
WAN side of Router1 connects to WAN side of Router2 by crossover cable...
Can I connect 2 Linksys routers (befsx41 & befvp41) by their WAN ports in a classroom setting to simulate seperate citys? Would you use straight through cable?
I tried admin & password, with & without caps, and everything else that was writen down. Sonicwall says I can blow it away and start over but I wanted to avoid that if I could.
I just went to work for company that has a Sonicwall SOHO3. No one knows the password, Anyway around it? Is there a password recovery like Cisco? I really didn't want to start over because there is no records of the setup and there is five remote sites. Thanks
There are no routers on our networks. We are using a modem with public IP on each end connected to the internet. We are now able to to connect both ways through the VPN. The only change was deleting a user account and then add the user back in. We thought we would be able to see something on the...
Thanks for the reply. I have looked at those sites. I still don't see what I'm doing wrong. Should I be able to see the hard drive or anything else when I connect to his box?
A friend and me are trying to learn VPN. I've been reading as much as I can on the internet and in book stores, but we must be missing something.
We both are on dialup. I'm running Win2000 Pro. He's running XP Pro. We both have dynamic IPs which we give each other. We have each set up a server...
So the only problem is when more than 5 boxes try to hit XP Home at the same time? If number 6 tries, does that box just get denied and has to try again?
I have read several places that you can only network 5 XP Home computers, but no details as to what that really means. I have a company I'm trying to help that has 6 XP Home boxes and 1 XP Pro. I don't see anything not working. Is there a real limit or is this OK?
Thanks
I couldn't find anything on this site or the freesco site. Is there a list somewhere listing the modems that work best with this program? My ISP lets you bond two modems so I thought I would use an old 486 with two PCI slots and 3 ISA slots.
Thanks
Staples, OD, Best Buy all dropped the price of the g85 by a $100( from $600 to $500 ). I just called Staples and got $109 back( $100 + tax ).
If you bought this printer call now, they won't do this for long.
Staples sent me a card refusing my $30 rebate on the 4400 scanner. Reason was "Limit on Rebate" which translates to too many rebates per household. This is the only Visioneer scanner I ever bought. So it looks like my two $30 rebates turned into one. Anyone else getting both?
I'm looking for a device to use with or without a computer that will let me control the TV signals in my house. I want to be able to set a timer to send a signal that would display a message like "Go to bed" or "Not this channel". Can this be done?

Check your gift cards. I got 3 today, but they sent one that was $25 and charged my credit card $50. I took them to the store and had them scan the gift cards.
Good job CTR. Let me add one detail. The back side of patch panels and the wall jacks use an IDC (insulation displacement connector) system. This may requires a punch-down tool to terminate. Stranded cable cannot be used with these connectors.
The TIA-568-A standard recommends you use stranded...
I talked to Larry (a salesman) at OneCall. He said this was the dish only. I ask him to double check. The next guy said the same thing, but sent me to a third person (Matt) who said this included a internal card for the computer (no USB). If Matts right, all you need is the cable and this is a...
Bohemian I called CS. They said it was the dish only. If it was everything it would be a good deal.
Unclemo I read somewhere that Hughes would sell kits to upgrade to 2-way.
BTW Hughes is beta testing now and all the testers say it's great. Wish I was a tester.
This is a ripoff. $99 is for dish only. Costs another $249 for everything else you need. I've been thinking about doing this myself, but for <$200. BTW these can be converted to 2-way when that comes out in 3 or 4 months.
