    blend my Prescott hits 66*C @ 3.8ghz 1.525v. Gallatin (Northwood) @ 3.8ghz never reaches 50*C by comparison.

    most professional testing ive seen shows 2gb is better then 1gb or 4gb. most testers claim 4gb is a complete waste, but that would depend on what kind of user you are i guess. if youre a computer slob then you might just need 4gb ;)

    is that your only 2 options? if 24 hours isnt definitive why do it? there are plenty of programs out there that will error out much more quickly then prime95, find them.

    believe it. many ppl have fallen off the P95 bandwagon due to it being unreliable and a waste of time. it does not test everything and it is not the final word in stability. its benchmark is pretty good tho.

    youre doing nothing but wasting your time. Prime95 is not the final word stability, even after 24hours.

    as long as you DONT add any voltage, it doesnt matter what you do. large FTTs. 24 hours is a waste of time and electricity. you can go for 24 hours and still not be 100% stable, so its a total waste.

    you will not get single core performance if HT is on, this is old news. no need to google, its not exactly a secret. yes HT can be helpful, but a nice boost in power can also be helpful on these older rigs. :)

    some used to, i doubt they do any more, it wouldnt be in their best interest. they dont like us messin with their bios files cause we learn things they dont want us to know :D nVidia has an official bios flash utility (nvflash), gets updated yearly.

    hmmmmm, p100 > p133 > p2 300 > p3 450 > p3 600 > p3 1000 > p4w 1.7 > p4n 1.8a > p4n 2.4b > p4n 1.6a > p4m 1.4 > p4n 2.53b > p4n 2.6c > p4n 2.8c > p4n 2.4b > p4n 2.26b > p4g 3.2ee all overclocked, just dont remember to what speeds :)

    your post lost all credibility right there. did you even bother to uninstall them and try reinstalling them? your problem was most likely from a bad uninstall, if you woulda reinstalled them they woulda worked.

    ok, yea, i see what ya mean. i just checked one out and its very tight in there. i dont think even a sewing needle will fit. the one i looked at was an almost clear 6p molex so i am able to verify that the locking clips are indeed on the left and right of each pin. HTH :)

    be careful not to break the vid card. you could/should simply replace the plastic molex end. but if you dont know how to pop the pins out of the molex you aint gonna get far.

    its a known issue between the vid card makers and the PSU makers, contact one of them for info on how to get 6pin-6pin converters thatll fit correctly. using 4pin rail convertors is a bad idea as your PSU was designed to power the vid card from the pci-e rails. :)

    SLI is the only factor here. a 6800GT bios on a 6800Ultra is an old trick for much better performance from an Ultra. i should know cause im the guy that worked on it ;) :) so that part is not an issue. its just the sli part that is unknown, but im very curious if it can work! > save...

    there are ways around everything ;) this is the OCing forum after all. Dell did use Asus boards, if his is an Asus board he might be able to flash the real Asus bios onto it. but again its RDram, replace the platform. everything is proprietary dell? trash it, or run Win98 on it for DOS...

    are you using the correct monitor driver? if you have 2 dvi ports try the 2nd port. might need a better dvi cable too.

    mobile would default to 12x multiplier, its not a mobile. the motherboard is older then the cpu, it doesnt reccognize it. manually set it for 133fsb is the best youre gonna get, it might OC to 150fsb but thats about the best the board can do. the rdram has ratios and is a bit tricky to OC...

    you CAN flash a 6800 Ultra into a 6800 GT, but i dont know if thatll allow sli. you cant flash a GT into an Ultra and you wouldnt want to even if you could.
