Referbed AMD CPU's CHEEP at newegg

I've ordered about 10 refurb CPU's from Newegg and each one has been great so far. I'm sure extreme overclockers purchased them hoping for a massive overclock but so long as they don't burn out the chip, it's all good :).

Is this a good deal for a laptop?

My bad. I read too fast. I guess that makes this lukewarm then since it's not DVD, not P3, 12.1" screen and it seems like the wireless cards are going for only $68 after rebate at Amazon. Those IBM deals at E*bay are often posted here :). That's just IMHO of course :).

Is this a good deal for a laptop?

Seems kinda expensive for such a small screen. But it is a P3-800 w/ Speedstep and does have the wireless adapter which is an expensive add-on for most systems. Warm but not hot :)

Thanks tasert. I guess this confirms it that you can't record directly from DVD->built-in VCR if it has Macrovision. I knew Samsung wasn't that stupid :). I think all commercial DVDs have Macrovision.

Cheap USB Powered Speakers for your Laptop - $4.45 + shipping

Perhaps my 2 pairs of speakers are faulty? It statics almost every time I turn up the volume (maybe dirty pots). Read the dimensions. It may be a bit too big for most people's laptop bags. what MesBoogies says is true though, for $5 how can you go wrong :)?

Can you run an Asus V7100/T with a TV attached, but no monitor?

You can always try it out :). I have an AIW (original PCI 4MB) and the TV-out works w/o me needing a monitor once I set it all up. the problem is I need to have it plugged to the tV as soon as I turn the computer on or else it will revert back and I have to reattach a monitor to turn it back on.
