You could get something like this which is an IDE and SATA to USB adapter. I have used them before when I need to get data off of customers hard drives.

I got mine in on Wednesday. I put it all together that night.
I also have some SMALL bubbles in the lines and tank, but I'm not really worried about them, I figured they will work their way out eventually.
The flow indicator is annoying. It looks cool, but is too "rattly". It is by far now the...
The A/C unit/install was subcontracted by the builder. So the company is an actual HVAC company that did the install.
My dad is actually an HVAC guy, so I had him check it out. He said the charge was a little low, and he charged it up to where it should be.
The subcontracted company came out...
The water heater is 50 gallon, 240V.
I've put my amp meter on both legs several times throughout the day and have yet to see it even register. This may not be a super accurate test, but it does tell me that it's not running all the time or anything weird like that.
I'm really starting to think...
I would be happy if the electric bill was only $30-$40 more than the old house. but it is more like $100-$150 more.
Remember, we are going from a 2 story to a 1 story.
From a 10 SEER to a 13 SEER.
The insulation is similar.
We do have vaulted ceilings in this house, but we had a two story in...
The dryer is gas. We brought it with us from the old house.
The old house had an electric stove. The new house has a new electric stove.
The furnace was gas at the old house and gas at the new house (though we haven't had to run the furnace in this 100F heat.
My dad suggested a timer on the...
I understand that the water heater can make a difference, I also expect that going from a two story two a one story with a new more efficient air conditioner should come close to evening that out. Plus, my neighbors all have the same water heater and only have around a $120-$150 electric bill...
The new house has an electric water heater, the old had a gas. I know that will make a slight difference, but it is a pretty nice water heater and should be fairly efficient. In fact, the whole neighborhood has the same water heater and no one else has a bill like mine.
We do have some...
The kWh prices appear to be the same (or close), around $.08 per kWh. The bill does not show it (imagine that), so I divided the usage charge by the kWh for the month.
The electric company shows me using between 2800 to 3400 kWh's per month. Yet my parents, who live in a similar size and...
OK, we just built a new house. So brand new everything. New appliances, new A/C, new water heater.
We are coming from a 1700ish sq/ft TWO story plus finished basement (with one zone) 8 year old house to a new 1700ish sq/ft ONE story plus finished basement. We keep our thermostat set at 77...
Actually, yes it is. But nice trice.
The picture you posted is of the logic board folded back.
If you look and read all the disassembly sites, you will clearly see the SIM card is on a removable tray.

Most cable modems bind to the first MAC address plugged in to their LAN port on boot up. In order to get them to "re-bind" you need to power cycle the modem.
Since the cable modem is bound to the router's MAC address, first unplug the power on the modem. Then plug in your modem straight into...
I totally agree. But luckily my receiver does component switching, so I was able to run both connections into my receiver and then run a component cable out of my receiver to my TV.
You'd think at least one of the third party companies would make the two seperate!
The servers are obviously slammed.
My updated has been running for over a half an hour!
It's ALMOST finished.
Even Nintendo.com doesn't come up reliably. So if you are having problems, I suggest not trying to many weird things like unplugging everything in your house. Just wait and try...
It uses a proprietary component cable that is NOT included. I preorded mine from Nintendo.com. Got it on Friday.
Does progressive scan on both Wii and Gamecube games.
Got my Wii.
Showed up at Target at 6:45.
At 7a they came out and handed out line tickets. The tickets were good until noon.
Came back at 8:30a to pick it up.
This thing so far exceeds my expectations.
I got online, and it started to run an update.
Servers must be slammed because it has...
I was THIS close to getting the Crucial 10th Anniv. Ram. But was cautious about it being rated at DDR2-667.
And yes, that Corsair link is my Ram. I am currently running it at DDR2-800, 4-4-4-12, 2.0v.
I just finished an 8 hour run of Orthos blend, so I think I am finally happy.
That's good to hear at least. I was going crazy thinking that it seemed like such a no brainer for everyone else, but I was having such goofy problems.
I have found increasing the SB and NB by one notch seems to fix the x1. I could probably back one of the two down, but for now, it's easier to leave them both up.
I am REALLY close to being stable. Last night it failed Orthos blend after 2 and half hours. So I bumped the core up to 1.4v...
Well so far so good 8x401. Over 30min of Orthos.
I've even slowly been dropping my volts back to what I've been seeing others use. So I don't know what to think. Was it just a burn in issue like I posted above.
One NEW question (if anyone is still reading this). I've seen several posts, but...
Second update.
Now 7x401 is running fine.
Not sure what I did differently besides going to 1.45v. That seems higher than most people have needed for something so mild.
I will try 8x401 next.
I read on a forum one guy stating he couldn't get his stable the first couple of days. Then the...
Update.
Running 6x401 is so far perfectly fine.
I am running high volts, and will back them down as I test, but this proves that the ram runs fine at 401 and at SPD settings (4-4-4-12, 2.1V) to boot! So the Ram CAN'T be the problem.
So what is it with the higher multiplier that causes...
I upgraded to 804 as soon as I got it.
But then I noticed a lot of people were using 711, so I downgraded to that early in my testing so my setup could be as close to others as possible.
I will try going back up to 804 though and retesting.
I see you have a very similar setup to me as far...
I don't get it.
Ram at 2.3v
Memtest errors after just 10 seconds. 7x401, 8x401, 7x433 (just wanted to get way out past the 400 area to see if that makes a difference). Ram at 5-5-5-15.
BUT, if I don't OC the FSB, and just set the DDR speed manually, it is fine. Currently running at DDR2-889...
It is definitely pointing to Ram.
Memtest errors out at 1831MB at 7x401 and 8x401 (I know same speed for the memory, just wanted to try it) within 15 seconds 3 out of the 4 times I tried it.
That would explain why sometimes an orthos test could pass and sometimes fail. It's not a very...
I agree with what both of you are saying. I shouldn't be jumping straight to Blend.
Although I did jump straight into trying a 400MHz FSB, I have gone all the way back to the drawing board and done a little at a time. I have run all my OC tests with the ram at 5-5-5-15 or even 5-6-6-18. I was...
Specs in title.
First let me say, I know the Corsair isn't the favorite, and I wish I would have gone with something different. But it's specs are high, and I've been happy with Corsair in the past. I will return it if need be.
Now, I've tried so many combinations in the past 24 hours, I...
ECC and Registered are independent of each other. MOST (if not all) Registered RAM is ECC. But ECC RAM is not necessarily Registered.
If your machine takes Registered, then you HAVE to use it.
If your machine takes unbuffered (non-registered), then you CANNOT use Registered.
But ECC goes...
RE means Raid Edition.
http://www.gamepc.com/labs/view_content.asp?id=caviarre&page=1
The REs are qualified for 24/7 operation in servers and SANs, have a high MTBF, and a 5 year warranty. I have used MANY of them in servers and love them.
Happened to me just the other day. One month old Lite-on. I put a blank CD in and the machine didn't recognize it as a blank disc. So I took it out, but a different disc in and burned it. Later on I put the first one back in, it spun up and then BANG.
It was SERIOUSLY loud. I jumped out of my...
I HATE Coke. I think it's Nasty.
But I LOVE Pepsi.
Clip of usual conversation:
Me: I'll take a Pepsi if you have it.
Water: Is Coke OK?
Me: I'll take a water.
QFT!
These are the two brands to get. I have bought many, many of each and wouldn't have a problem buying more.
My one quick blurb. I have both a 500GB Seagate and a 500GB WD. The Seagate is NOTICEABLY hotter. And I mean blistering hot. I have to point a fan directly at it to keep it cool.
I have a friend who went through the same thing at BoA. A $2 trip charge at the gas station started a chain reaction of overdrafts on his account. That candy bar and soda ended up costing him $200! Instead of just charging him for the first overdraft, each time it was $25. Ridiculous.
Anyway...
