On my system (kt7a rain same hard drive 1 gig tbird @ 7.5x133/33)...

well I had an ipx spx network setup but I am having a lil problems with it so I want to go with a tcp/ip network instead. got any good links for it?
Any concerns with doing that with the att@home service?
Got two boxes to network through a linksys network in a box doohickey and the cable...
oh.... also you alls have some really cool litle terms and words like WU and some other terms I read in this forum? is there a link to some of the terms and abriviations? kinda like a glosary?
Just want to know a litle bit more and not even sure what questions to ask.
I would consider an offer to join a team for the rc5 that I have recieved one offer by pm already and that is the one I would consider first.
None of my questions/concerns have anything to do with what I would...
as I understand it the oems may or may not have the hsf with them and rarely have over a 90 warranty. the boxed set should have a 3 year warranty and come packaged with the hsf that amd would like to see used with the chip.
If I am incorrect in this please feel free to pull out all my nose...
I would suggest clocking down the chip to like 1 gig or not much higher first. Get everything stable either at the defaults or not much past that. also sometime what slots you put things in can have an impact. try different slots for different items?
I am sure it does but I cannot verify from here as I am at work. I did the instructions exactly as in the linksys kits booklet and it worked on the previous box. this time I ran the floppy from the wifes box as per the me directions. and as part of my troubleshooting it all looked right as...
problem: I cannot log onto the network on my system
info about: I can "search for my wifes system and see it fine, I cannot search and find mine tho. My wifes system could see mine too. Its not a big deal because I can use the search to open her box and pull files and all that...
I just build a 1 gig tbird system on the abit kt7a raid board. It was bar far the easiest build I ever did and I been doing this for near 20 years.
Just because I had ABSOLUTELY ZERO probs with it does not mean you wont and I cant speak for the raid side of it as I dissabled the raid for now...

I understand not all pencil leds will work well. I also understand there is some kind of pen for about 10bucks that has conductive ink. From what I read it is the prefered method to unlock the chip. maybe some kind soul will post a link to info on that pen to help us both out.
ok with a 1 gig t-bird chip I plan to run on the abit kt7a raid, if I run that at fsb 133 and a multiplier of 7.5 or 8 or something will I need to unlock the chip? (pencil or conductive ink). At what point would I need to do that?
It almost sounds that I have to run the chip at 10X100 or do...
on the having to load win98 first...
that may not be correct. I will use the upgrade for me or even for 98 and when it says it cannot find the setup files for the previous os, it will also ask for its location you can (in your case) put in the win 98 cd and say "there they are" and it...
bump
Would really like to know. if you know of a good price on the abit kt7a or the av7133 board in us that have current stock feel free to post a link.
Try to uninstall the actual vid card driver, boot in safe mode check device manager for any duplicate "ghost" drivers and dump em. well I not an expert but I would start there.
I asked same here and at werk. I dun like the placement of the cpu on the abit but it seems to be the easier to werk with. 5 friends at work use that board with no problem. I got other friends at work that like the asus. One dude swears by the fic board. I kinda torn tween the abit and...
go with nothing but the vid and one ram stick. if that no good try the other ram stick? try a diff vid card?
Try to reseat the cpu? try that cpu on anohter board? ask around about flashing the bios? not sure if I would do that right off but if you tried all else.....
