I need to create a user to be able to install software and that needs administrative rights to run, but I don't want the user to be able to administer the server or domain, so i don't want this user to be a part of administrators or domain admins.
Any ideas?
I just bought a laptop, and would like to have it connect to the internet wireless. I bought a linksys router/AP/printer server. I still have to buy the linksys network cards for my laptop and workstation. Just would like any comments or experiences.
I am purchasing a laptop that i'll be using for personal use and also web design. I was thinking about putting server on there instead of pro. Is there any downside to this?
We've narrowed it down to the outlook client blocking the attachments. Others on the same exchange server are receiving them.
Any way to stop outlook from blocking them?
open up outlook and go to tools-options-accounts. edit your account, and look at your logon information. You should have in there your user name and password and make sure the box is checked of to remember your password.
This is my problem. I would open up a browser and go to a site. Then i would open up a second browser and go to a different site. Now, on the second browser, I would click on a link I have to go to a different site, but the site opens on the first browser instead. It's very confusing. I'll...
you can reinstall w2k and not format the drive. Just leave it as is when it prompts you. You shouldn't lose your data. You should back up your data and then do a reformat install. I have two hard drives for this purpose. System crashes, then just re-install because data is on the other hard...
Open IE, go to tools, internet options, connection tab. Make sure IE is using your modem connection as dail up connection. If it's not there, just add it.
Is it possible that having all three dimm slots on my Iwill kk266 mobo filled with 256 chips cause problems?
There is something really wrong, and it's not XP. I was about to load 2000 on there and during the setup, and it blue screened also. I tell you man, I've never seen so many blue...
I realized that this only happens if the computer is idle for about 10 minutes i believe. Yes, I did take off the screen saver. Nothing kicks in,It just BScreens. Have not had a BScreen yet while using the computer. Only when it's idle. This is very strange. I'm just hoping this is a part...

Dahitman, the average user doesn't have a choice of which to choose from. When the average person goes to buy a computer, what's already loaded on that computer? It sure as hell aint linux. The could buy a mac, but the automatically have it registered in their head that they want windows...
Here is the situation. I have a second harddrive that I keep my documents and personal stuff in a folder. I'm the only one with full rights, and I'm also an administrator. Everytime I reload win2k, I would have to be an administrator, take ownership of the folder again, and give only myself...
This guy posts this message, and within 5 minutes he gets two answers. I've been asking the same question for 3 days, and no response till today.
Thanks alot. I'm just a little upset because i'm thinking my board is about to blow up due this this voltage thing.
Thank you very much shearo. Also, does you cpu fan header show rpms? Mine doesn't Only the system fan header (near the led headers) reads rpms. Any idea?
My bios doesn't read any 2.5v. Only the vcore voltage, 3.3v,5v, and 12v. No 2.5v.
Checking my voltages with the via Hardware monitor, my voltages are:
vcore value =1.95v
2.5v value = .35v
3.3v value = 3.41v
5v value = 4.91v
12v value = 12.37v
Why is my 2.5v value only .35v? Is this normal?
My system is:
