Is this normal?

I've got a new AMD approved 300 watt PS, a new K7VZA mobo with a 1GHZ Tbird and a new Volcano II fan. It runs stable. It's fine. The only thing is that depending on my activity, I can hear the fan speed up or slow down. Is this normal?

My K7S5A doesn't like my ram!

I thought Routers were supposed to be easy!

Tried uninstalling / reinstalling TCP/IP. No difference. Checked all the cables. The cables are fine. Still can't connect. What are the odds of buying a defective router? I might add that I bought the router from Fry's, so the odds shoot up dramatically. :o

My Duron cores are in danger of being crushed...deliberately! Help!

Identical Problem on Two Computers

Are TBird systems unstable?

I had stability problems with my Duron. Then I looked under the case and found a ball point pen. Removed that sucker and now the case is nice and stable on my desk.

Athlon approved power supplies

There is a list for approved PS for Durons, too. Durons draw less power than Athlons. In fact, AMD has approved some 145 watt PS for mATX Duron systems. I'm using a 250 watt non-approved PS for my Duron and haven't experienced any problems (knock on wood).

Difference Between TBird and Duron on 100 MHZ FSB?

Yep, Tbirds have 256k L2 cache while Durons only have 64k.

Newegg is great! I ordered a mobo and fan from them and while the shipping wasn't blazingly fast, it was FREE! So I can't complain. They're definitely my company of choice when shopping for hardware online.

Problem with LanBridge.....

I never could get LanBridge to work with a firewall program running. And yes, I set it up for LAN and have been using it for a year and a half. Used it on dial up first and then used it for DSL.
