After looking back through Sunday when this deal started, I didn't see any other notices about this so I don't think it's a repost. After reviewing the other postings, less than $1 per GB for a 7200 RPM drive with an 8MB buffer is a pretty hot deal from what I've seen.
CompUSA has their store brand (repackaged Maxtor) 80 GB hard drives with 8MB cache for $70 aftr $60 rebate. I think this is a relatively hot deal. Sorry in advance if this is a repost.
From things I read about both the Radeon and Bungee video capture capabilities there seems to be audio/video syncing problems associated with both of these alternatives. Can anyone offer any experience relative to the audio/video syncing problems with the Radeon and Bungee cards? I have...
I noticed in the specs listed for the SCSI card that it can address up to 8 GB. Does this mean these cards will not support disk partitions larger than 8GB?
The Wide Screen versus Pan-and-Scan must be a local thing. Almost all of the ones for sale in my area are the Wide Screen versions. I always check to make sure I have the Wide Screen version and the DVD is actually in the box before I leave the store however just to be sure. The only time I...
Blockbuster is having their 25% off of their previously viewed DVDs sale again. Their prices which normally range from $10 to $17 are now from $7.50 to $12.75 plus sales tax. These are good prices on recently released DVDs like Spy Game, Don't Say A Word, Training Day, The Last Castle...
This Mouse-in-a-Box can be installed via either a PS2 or USB interface. Based on what you are saying it would be best to hook it up via one of my USB ports.
Volcano came out about the same time as Dante's Peak and is about on a par with it. Neither one was all that fabulous in my estimation. Personally I picked up Independence Day, Commando and Marked for Death. I also picked up Irma La Duce while I was there. It wasn't on sale but it was cheap...
You need to be old enough to remember things from the early 60s to relate to the Telstar. It was a sattelite that was readily visible to people on the ground with the naked eye. A sattelite you could see unaided back in those days was a big deal. At the time the sattelite even inspired a...
If anyone has experience, what is the best way to remove the BB antitheft labels? I have several DVDs with the lablel and they all play without problems but one of them causes a slight audible vibration in the DVD player due to anti-theft label being slightly out of balance.
They didn't have the 3 for the price of two deal anymore. I actually like this deal as much as the 3 for the price of two deal because wih that one you had to find a minimum of three you wanted to buy and in order to get the full one third discount you had to select three with the same price...
Starting today Blockbuster B&M has 25% off on their previously rented DVDs, games and video tapes. I don't know about the price ranges on the games and video tapes but their peviously rented DVDs that are normally priced from $10 to $17 are selling for $7.50 to $12.75 plus tax. This is better...
Can you provide a link or web address where I can get the data to burn the cd for eliminating the macrocode for the Apex 660? I have a 660 and love it but no macrocode would make it even better.
Thanks
Just thought I'd mention the VXS-D810S will get you Dolby Digital, DTS etc. but it has 6 ChX100 which allows it to support the new DTS-ES format (additional center channel in the rear). It's more money but if you want to get the 6 channel DTS-ES format nothing else comes close. The 810S is less...
I've have an Apex 660 that I paid $99 for about 4 months ago and its been great. Plays everything including MP3s, VCDs, SVCDs, DVDs plus it also has DTS capability. No skips and no problems so far. In my opinion you can't beat it for the price even if it doesn't have the special menu to...
I've had Dish Network now for over 5 years and love it. The quality of their customer service has varied from poor to excellent over the years. It simply seems to depend on the person you happen to contact. If I get someone that is a jerk I just call back later. So far I haven't had to call...
Half.com doesn't list any of these titles for sale. They do have a lot of Three Stooges titles though. I guess everyone's view of corn is a little different.
You may want to check into Dish Network. For a one year subscription to Dish Network's America's Top 50 for $224 you can get your hardware and a free installation kit from suttertel.com. To get a second receiver and the dual LNB antenna will probably cost about an additional $100. The Dish...

Tried to overclock my FSB to 133 on my KT7A/AMD 750. System won't post. Is the best way to get the CMOS to return to the default 100 on the FSB just to remove the CMOS battery backup or is there a better way to get it reset?
Just thought I'd mention my experience buying this combo deal from Monarch was good. Received my order in less than a week and the hardware worked fine. Sorry to hear other's experience was not good.

If I add the L7 bridges on the CPU to change the voltage to 1.85 is it then possible on a KT7A-RAID board to adjust the voltage to a lower setting in the CMOS or does adding the bridges make it always run at 1.85 volts.
Thanks,
Telstar
If you're useing some type of liquid bridging material, just put some clear Skotch tape over all of the L1 bridges and then remove a little rectangle of tape over each bridge with an exacto knife. Apply the bridging material and after it dries peel off the Skotch tape.
$285 gets you a retail box ABIT KT7133A-RAID motherboard, a retail box AMD 750 TBird CPU and an upgraded HSF (Tai-Sol CEK733092).
This is a very nice combination for the price if you want the retail box versions. Here's the link http://www.monarchcomputer.com/
I personally have an AMD 133 that my wife uses for Word Processing and minor web surfing activities. The web surfing is a little slow but it gets the job done. If the system you are getting has at least a 500 MB Hard Drive and 16 MB of memory you can run Win95 and do occasional web surfing...
I have a 750 Tbird that I wanted to change the FSB from 100 to 133. I connected the L1 bridges on the CPU but when I attempt to access the FSB adjustment line in Soft Menu III on my Abit KT7A RAID motherboard I can't select it. Does that mean that I probably didn't do an adequate job of...
I am attempting to change my FSB from 100 to 133 using the Softmenu III in the CMOS setup on my new Abit KT7A RAID motherboard but I can't access that line to change the setting. I assume that means that the bridges I added on my AMD 750 CPU were not properly done. Can anyone confirm this...
